If you are planning a vacation, or just a day of shopping or work, you can rest assured your dog will be well cared for and loved during their stay with us. And of course, they go home tired. er of Four Leaf K9, Erin Marconi, lives on the property. Monitored with video surveillance, climate controlled, and houses a back-up generator. Large indoor and outdoor fenced in play areas with artificial turf and grass. We have a fully-trained team of dog lovers that will be there for you and your dog.

We’ve been on a waiting list for awhile but the time is here to get our new well put in!!! Our existing well was slowly crumbling and we always had to haul water in on the dry summer months with the amount of water we use. 💦

This won’t affect our daily operations, just please be mindful of the construction during drop off and pick up times. As always we provide RO drinking water for the pups and will keep them entertained.

We will be so glad to not have that headache anymore and have endless water. Especially for our summer months of pool time, baths, and run sprinklers again.

After catching up, maybe we can finally do a real pool for our water loving canines. Just wish our season wasn’t so short. 🥰 🐾 😂

The past few weeks have been a little rough for us here at four leaf ! 🥹

Emily’s last day was Thursday. We cannot be more greatful for her time, hard work, and dedication to helping us here at the kennel. You may still see her pop in for shifts, but we are so excited for her next chapter in nursing school! 💓👩🏼‍⚕️

Claire’s last day was Friday. She is returning to the U of I for her second year of college as she is currently working for her degree to become a Large Animal Veterinarian! She helped us through a very busy summer, and we couldn’t thank her enough! 🐾✨

Ava’s last day was Friday the 7th. She helped us out in a pinch during the last of the busy summer we had. Ava is attending her first year of college to earn her degree in radiology! 🩻🦴

We couldn’t be more proud, or grateful for these girls and their hard work and support during our busy season, and in general! 🍀🫶🏼

On a more positive note, we would like to welcome Skylar to our pack! She was helping us out on Wednesdays and has decided to come aboard full time and started her first full week today! 😇

We are still looking for someone to fill the full time kennel supervisor position. We hope everyone has a wonderful week! ☀️

Yesterday we celebrated Miss Lucy’s 1st Birthday! 💐

We would like to thank the Heider family for the delicious chocolate chip cookies for our staff and the milk bones for all of Lucy’s friends! ✨

Lucy is constantly keeping us on our toes! She not only body slammed the swimming pool, but proceeded to attempt diving head first into our water bucket yesterday as well 💁🏼‍♀️🤣

Today we celebrated Lacy’s birthday! She and her sister Cooper have been staying with us this week for boarding! 💛

We would like to thank her parents for the delicious cupcakes for our staff and the milk bones for her friends as well!!✨🧁

We are grateful that all the pups were able to spend the day outside without it being too hot! Enjoying the pools, and the fresh air🌤️

This Friday was a little bit more heartfelt than usual here at four leaf 🍀

Today we celebrated Vivian’s last day here at the kennel. She has stayed with us overnight just about every Friday since January of this year! Making her at 70 over night stays 🥳

We are beyond grateful for the Anderson family and for the treats for Vivian’s four legged friends, and a special cake for our staff!🧁

We have enjoyed seeing you guys each week, and most importantly we enjoyed giving the best care and so much love to sweet Vivian throughout her stays with us! 🤍

We wish you guys the best on your move, and never forget that Vivian will always be apart of the four leaf pack 🐾

Today we celebrated Bodie Hart’s 4th Birthday! 🩵🐾

We would like to thank Randy and Denise for gifting our staff with More on Main gift cards, along with Bodie Butt gifting his four legged friends with treats! ✨

We are crossing our paws that next week is cool enough to be outside more during the day, as all of us are sick of the heat! ☀️

When we say July is our busiest month of the year, we mean it! Once July 31st rolls around, we will have a grand total of 629 bookings, both daycare and boarding combined 🎉

As always we are grateful for the care, trust, and the opportunity to give so much love to all of the dogs that come through our doors. Thank you to everyone who understands during these busy times, and supports us throughout the year. We wouldn’t be who we are, or where we are today without our wonderful clients. ✨

So far this month we have celebrated two birthdays, Annie Morgan, who turned 5 years old on July 1st while she was boarding with us! 🎈

And also Scout Gustafson, who turned 9 on Monday. Who celebrated with treats for his 4-legged friends, and chocolates for his 2-legged friends as well! 🥳

We would like to give a huge thank you to Lily Urbance for spoiling us with some delicious treats from DQ yesterday during this disgustingly humid week we have ahead of us.

As we work to keep everyone’s pups as safe as possible during these high temps, we would like for you to know the basics of heat stoke prevention and signs to watch out for.

SIGNS OF HEAT STROKE: ‼️

- Excessive or heavy panting and drooling
- Bright red gums or tongue
- Weakness, lethargy, or extreme tiredness
- Vomiting, diarrhea, or unsteady wobbling

ESSENTIAL REMINDERS: ⚠️

- Limit Exercise: Avoid strenuous walks or runs during the hottest parts of the day. Switch to early mornings or late evenings.
- Provide Hydration & Shade: Always carry water on outings. At home, offer cooling aids like ice cubes in their water bowl, damp towels to lie on, or frozen enrichment toys.
- Know the Breed: Flat-faced breeds (like Pugs or French Bulldogs), older dogs, and overweight pups overheat much faster and require extra AC time.

We are safe!!! Wow, I needed a tranquilizer as I was monitoring the movement of this storm, but when people started calling and texting that a weather spotter called out "Four Leaf K9 is about to get hit," I was like, "Hell no, it's not!" (As I was shaking like a leaf and crying 🥺.) Was I seeking shelter? No! Thank you, whatever made this go on past us!! 🙏 Be safe everyone!!
