Registration is now open for the 2026 Dog training season! To complete registration, you will need to complete the https://z.umn.edu/DogTraining AND Dog ID, and pay the $40 registration fee.
All dog project members are expected to attend the Dog Orientation (no dogs) on Tuesday, April 7, from 6-8 PM at Hooley Hall on the Washington County Fairgrounds. This is an opportunity to meet the trainers, learn more about classes offered, and get any questions answered. Demonstration night will take place on April 14 from 6-8 PM at Hooley Hall, and training will begin on April 21, weather permitting.

Not a new class, but a very occasional time slot offering - We are offering a DAYTIME High School/Canine Good Citizen class starting on Wednesday, April 8 at 11:30 am. Join the fun!

AKC’s Canine Good Citizen program is the gold standard of behavior for dogs in our communities. One million dogs, purebred and mixed breed, have earned CGC.

Lots of new things in the works! First is Puppy Agility Headstart. This class is open to puppies ages 12 weeks-6 months.

*Agility Headstart combines basic puppy obedience, learning how to build a connection with your puppy and how to introduce easy, age-appropriate obstacles, all building confidence in your puppy.

*It is for experienced dog owners who either know they want to do agility with their puppy or have always wanted to learn how to train for agility and learn more about the sport.

*This class takes advantage of the formative age of puppies, giving them and their owners a HEADSTART into the world of agility, bonding, and connection.

Class starts Wednesday, April 15 @ 7:00 pm!
