There's a difference between what carries you through a run and what carries you through life.

We put our faith in good horses, trust in the reins, belief in preparation, and appreciate having the right partner beside us. But at the end of the day, there's something bigger than anything we can saddle, steer, or control.

A good horse is a blessing. A good run is a gift. But our greatest confidence should never rest in what we own, what we accomplish, or what we can do.

It should rest in the One who makes it all possible.

This Sunday, a reminder to put your trust where it belongs. Not in the outcome, not in the equipment, not even in ourselves.

A good horse teaches patience. Life teaches humility. God teaches us both.

Good horses aren't made overnight. It takes time in the saddle, consistency in the work, and the willingness to learn something new every day. Faith is much the same.

We can make plans, put in the hours, and do everything we know to do—but at the end of the day, we still have to trust God with the outcome.

So keep showing up. Keep doing the work. Treat people right, take care of the horses entrusted to you, and remember that success means little if you lose sight of what matters most.

There’s something special about being right where God has called you to be.

We are enjoying a blessed week here in Uvalde, Texas, at the 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐬 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧. Great teams, talented horses, and plenty of reasons to count our blessings.

We don’t take a single opportunity to back into the box for granted. Every roping, every horse, and every run is another reminder of how blessed we are to live this life.

It’s the early mornings, the miles in the saddle, the patience to develop one the right way, and the dedication to getting the little things right.
