It's , and we're once again asking for your help!

As many of you know, we're still overflowing with cats and kittens, and kitten season is showing no signs of slowing down. Right now, kitten pâté and adult cat pâté are some of our biggest needs.

We currently have five nursing momma cats, and another momma is getting ready to have her babies, so we're also in great need of Royal Canin Mother & Babycat Pâté to help keep our moms healthy and give their kittens the best possible start.

Don't worry though, we didn't forget about our puppies. They have a few items in the wishlist as well.

🐾 PLEASE DON'T LEAVE YOUR DOG IN THE CAR 🐾

We want to send out another reminder about leaving dogs in vehicles while shopping—especially at Walmart. Please don't do it.

This past Sunday, Animal Control responded to two separate calls about dogs left inside vehicles. In one of those cases, the dog was in very poor condition by the time the Animal Control Officer removed it from the vehicle.

Even when the outside temperature doesn't seem extreme, the temperature inside a parked vehicle can rise to dangerous—and even deadly—levels in just minutes. Cracking the windows is not enough to keep your pet safe.

If your dog is a service animal, please take them inside with you.

If your dog is not a service animal, the safest place for them is at home while you run errands.

Leaving a dog in a hot vehicle can quickly become a life-threatening emergency. It could also result in law enforcement or Animal Control having to take action to save the animal—including breaking a vehicle window if necessary.

Please help us keep our community's pets safe. A simple decision to leave your dog at home can save their life.
