Hoagie -
Weight: 40 lbs on 5/04
📌 Condition: Low QOL
⏰ Deadline: May 26th (5/26)

Hoagie, a neutered 1-year-old male Shepherd mix, has been with us since February and urgently needs someone willing to give him patience, structure, and a chance. 💙

Shelter life has been very stressful for him, and his kennel behavior can look rough — barking, jumping, barrier reactivity, nipping, and nervous leash handling have all been noted. He can be fearful with new people and environments, so slow introductions and continued confidence-building are important for him.

But outside of the kennel, Hoagie shows a completely different side. He’s playful, goofy, affectionate, puppy-like, and loves attention. Staff has seen major improvement over time — he’s becoming more comfortable with handling, walking on leash, taking treats, and interacting with people. He enjoys toys, exploring the yard, and has shown a balanced play style with other dogs. He’s also responsive to correction and handler guidance.

Hoagie is just a young dog with potential who is trying hard to trust. He needs an adopter, foster, or rescue willing to continue working with him and help him decompress outside the shelter environment. Please help us find Hoagie the fresh start he deserves. Thank you!

RESCUE NEEDED 🙏

Two weeks later, Mamas is still waiting.

She is precious, omg 🥺

🚨 Urgent Medical Rescue Needed for Mamas

This sweet girl entered the shelter with an abnormal gait, and radiographs confirmed she has a dislocated right hip. She has already been evaluated by a veterinarian, spayed, and cleared for transport, but she still has nowhere to go.

Medical recommendations include an FHO surgery or possible amputation if an FHO is not feasible. While she remains stable and is receiving pain medication as needed, she urgently needs a rescue willing to provide the medical care she deserves.

Despite everything she has been through, Mamas remains incredibly sweet. She has been waiting since this plea was posted on May 8, and time is not on her side.

Please help us find a rescue for Mamas before it’s too late. 💔

Hoagie is just a puppy. He should be spending Memorial Day weekend playing, making friends, and discovering the world—not sitting in a shelter waiting to die. He is scheduled to be euthanized on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, unless someone steps up to save him. Please share and help us find his hero before it’s too late. 💔

And now he’s on the euthanasia list. He was lost in the sea of dogs.

⏰ Deadline: May 25th (5/25)

Macy is a gentle 2 year old female Shepherd mix who came into the shelter with her five nursing puppies and has been understandably nervous in the shelter environment. Despite her anxiety, Macy has consistently shown herself to be friendly, medically tolerant, and eager to feel safe with people.

Macy can be timid in new situations and initially struggled in playgroup settings, showing stress behaviors like shaking, nervous urination, and space guarding when overwhelmed. When uncomfortable, she may give warning air nips or appropriate corrections to dogs who get too close, but staff have not observed escalating aggression. Over time, Macy has shown noticeable improvement and growing confidence.

In more recent playgroups, Macy has walked well on leash, greeted dogs appropriately, and stayed calm throughout interactions. Staff noted she no longer over-corrected, guarded space, or attempted to avoid the yard. She is described as gentle and dainty, responds well to handler guidance, and has become more comfortable exploring and greeting other dogs.

Outside of playgroup, Macy is affectionate and very sweet with people. She allowed nail trims with little restraint, showed no issues during medical handling, and enjoys staying close to her handler for reassurance. Macy would thrive in a patient home or rescue that can continue building her confidence and give her the stability she deserves after raising her puppies in the shelter. If you can help this former mother feel safe, please reach out. Thank you!

13 comments won’t save them. It’s just sad that they will most likely be euthanized… but they didn’t have to be 😞
