We are so excited to announce our newest veterinarian to the Scotts Creek Animal Hospital family- Dr. Elisabeth Billod-Girard. Please help us welcome her to the family.

I’ve been a veterinarian for over 30 years, and caring for animals has always been a central part of my life. I was born and raised in Austria, where my love for animals started early—I’ve been riding horses since I was eight, and I have never lived without at least one dog. I studied veterinary medicine in Vienna, where I also completed my PhD.

Life at home is lively: five horses, a donkey, three dogs, three cats, and eleven chickens keep things busy and never boring.

I have three grown children living in Charlotte, Finland, and Switzerland, which gives me good reasons to travel. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, especially horseback riding and hiking with my husband, or simply spending time with animals or a good book.
