Meet our Pet of the Month, Ember! 🐱
Not long after coming home, Ember had some issues with her breathing and a cough that kept getting worse. Her x-rays showed pneumonia, and after starting treatment, she felt better, more playful, and was eating well, but her breathing still wasn’t quite right.
That’s when we looked past the usual suspects and found the real cause: lungworm, a rare parasite that can hide from routine testing and cause real damage in the lungs if it’s missed. Once she started the right treatment, Ember turned a corner within days and was back to normal within a month! And now, she’s a camera-ready superstar (especially when treats are involved). 🤍
