This week in Socorro, veterinarians and animal health professionals are gathered for the 2026 NM-ALIRT Conference, celebrating 20 years of the New Mexico Agriculture Livestock Incident Response Team.

For two decades, NM-ALIRT has helped protect New Mexico agriculture through rapid response to disasters, disease outbreaks, wildfires, and livestock emergencies.
