🌈 Journey - Loved, Even for a Little While 🌈

We had to say goodbye to Journey. 💔

Journey was found after being struck by a vehicle, suffering devastating injuries - including a complete dislocation of one hind leg and spinal compression.

As heartbreaking as it was, we were able to give Journey something he may not have had otherwise: a peaceful ending, surrounded by compassion and knowing that someone cared.

His time with us was incredibly short. But in that short time, Journey was seen. He was cared for. He was loved. And he was not alone. ❤️

Because of your donations, we were able to get Journey the proper veterinary assessment he deserved. And when it became clear that his injuries were too severe, your support allowed us to make the kindest decision for him.

We were able to give him a humane goodbye - one that did not hurt.

That is what your support makes possible.

Your donations don't just help rabbits who go on to find forever homes. Sometimes, they allow us to step in during the worst moments of a rabbit's life and make sure they don't have to face those moments alone.

Thank you for helping us be there for Journey.
Thank you for giving him dignity.
Thank you for giving him compassion.
And most importantly, thank you for helping us make sure that even though Journey's life was far too short, he knew love before it ended. 🐇❤️

We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors and help guide Springville Rabbit Rescue into the future.

You don’t have to be a rabbit expert. You don’t have to know everything about rescue. What we’re looking for are people who are reliable, compassionate, willing to contribute their time and talents, and who believe that rabbits deserve better.

🚨 Springville, you should be outraged. 🚨

If this had been a dog dragging itself across Main Street after being hit by a car, people would have stopped. People would be talking about it. People would be demanding answers.

Tonight, it was a rabbit.

A concerned resident reached out after finding a small rabbit trying to cross Main Street, dragging both of its hind legs behind it. This isn't a "meat rabbit." This little one is far too small. This rabbit was bred to be someone's pet. Someone's companion. Someone's responsibility.

Instead, this innocent life appears to have been discarded... and now is suffering unimaginable injuries.

Tonight, we've given pain medication to help keep this sweet soul comfortable. First thing possible, Journey will receive veterinary care so we can learn the extent of the injuries and give this rabbit every chance we can.

We're calling this bunny Journey.

Because every life deserves compassion. Every life deserves to matter.

Many of you remember Bugs and Roger. When they needed us, you stepped up. Bug's emergency exam and euthanasia alone was nearly $400. We haven't even begun Roger's treatment, which is expected to cost another $300–400.

Now Journey needs us too.

Our rescue doesn't turn away animals because they're expensive. We simply can't. But we also can't do it alone.

I failed to get any pictures but Tucker and Noelle had a lovely time at the Children's League today for Nature Day. We were alongside Clover Meadow Rabbitry and Open Farms. There were even kittens and a doodle named Lucy. Thank you so much for having us at your event.

We have the BEST news! ❤️

After meeting his family at our adoption event at Mark's Country Store , Orion officially started his journey to his forever home! Yesterday, I drove this sweet boy into Buffalo to meet his large and loving new family. 🏡❤️

Good luck, Orion! We couldn't be happier for you! 🥹🐰

Meet Roger Rabbit!

Roger was the second of two rabbits found abandoned by one of our rescue followers. Despite everything he's been through, he's an incredibly sweet boy. He enjoys gentle pets, tolerates being picked up, and has the softest, velvety fur.

Roger is a bit of a picky eater. He isn't much of a hay fan and can be selective about his pellets, but otherwise he's doing well and continues to settle in.

If all goes according to plan, Roger will be ready for his neuter soon. After that, he'll be looking for a loving family to call his own. We can't wait for the day this handsome boy finds the happy ending he deserves.
