​Walk your dog to help raise funds for dogs and cats in need of love, care, and second chances. Don't have a dog? No problem! *If you choose to bring your own dog along, all participants must sign a waiver the day of the event confirming their dog is healthy, free from contagious diseases, and up to date on vaccinations, including rabies and DHPP, in order for their dog to participate. Protect Your Pet Before July 4th With Our Friday Walk-In Microchip Clinic! 🐾

July 4th is one of the busiest times of the year for lost pets. Loud fireworks and holiday festivities can frighten even the calmest animals, causing them to panic and run away.

One of the best ways to protect your pet is with a microchip, in addition to wearing a collar with updated ID tags. Join us every Friday at our walk-in microchip clinic from 1:30-4pm. It's first come, first served at 3161 W. Norton Road — no appointment needed!

Microchips are $25 per pet, and we use mini ones for your pet's comfort. Microchips are designed to last a pet's lifetime, and this one-time investment can help reunite you with your pet if they ever become lost.

For your pet's safety, all dogs must be on leashes and all cats must be in carriers for the entire duration of their visit to the shelter. If you are bringing multiple cats, please separate them and use an individual cat carrier for each cat.

After your pet has been microchipped, don't forget to register their microchip online to ensure the safe return of your pet should they ever get lost. A registered microchip greatly increases the chances of a safe and speedy reunion.

A huge thank you to everyone who braved the storms and stopped by the shelter yesterday! Because of your support, several of our shelter pets found the loving homes they deserve. 🏡

One of those lucky pets is Harley, who was adopted through our Big Dog For Big Daddy Adoption Special! We couldn't be happier for her and her new family as they begin this exciting chapter together.
