Two months to the day!

Jack came to the shelter on 8/31 as a stray.

He’s a silly, sweet boy who absolutely loved participating in playgroups with the other dogs.

Jack definitely has that classic resting Boxer face!

Today, a wonderful family came to the shelter looking for a new best friend. The moment they met Jack, they knew he was the one.

After two long months of waiting, Jack finally gets his happily ever after. He gets to start a new chapter with a family of his very own.

A family to love him and who he will be a lifelong best friend.

Many thanks for coming to the shelter and choosing Jack to be part of your family!

We desperately need to find loving homes for some of our wonderful dogs. They deserve a chance at a happy life, a warm bed, and a family to call their own.

He’s just a puppy. Only 4 months old. ❤️
Koda was found sitting in the middle of the road, and now he’s been living in a kennel for 3 weeks.

Despite it all, Koda is full of love and energy! He is absolutely adorable, especially when he sits so sweetly for a treat.

But please, please don't let this sweet boy grow up in a shelter.

A puppy needs more than a kennel. He needs a home where he can learn, explore, play, build confidence, and develop the manners and social skills he'll need as he grows.

We know Koda is a BIG puppy, but underneath those big paws is still a pup who needs someone to love and guide him.

He deserves a chance outside of a shelter. He deserves a family. He deserves a better!

WE ARE HOPING FOR A MIRACLE… PLEASE DON'T LET EDNA & TOBY LOSE EVERYTHING. 💔

There is something especially heartbreaking about dogs who have known nothing but love suddenly finding themselves without a home.

Dogs who have spent their lives sleeping on soft beds, being loved by their families, and feeling safe and secure often struggle terribly when that life is suddenly taken away. For some, the transition to a shelter environment is devastating.

Edna and Toby are about to lose the only home they've ever known.

For the past six years, these two dogs have lived with their mommy. They've known her love, her care, and the comfort of having a family. She's their whole world.

Sadly, their mom has been diagnosed with an illness that has progressed quickly. She will soon be moving into a skilled nursing facility, and there is no other family available to take Edna and Toby.

Through absolutely no fault of their own, they are facing the loss of their mom, their home, their routine, and everything familiar.

TOBY 6-year-old Great Pyrenees/Aussie mix Has a special fondness for carrying his ball around most of the day.

A LITTLE ABOUT BOTH DOGS:

Housebroken and will go to the door when they need to go outside.
Crate trained.
Accustomed to having a fenced-in yard.

Have had very limited exposure to children, cats, and other dogs.
An adult-only home or a home with older children would be best.

PLEASE READ THIS PART‼️

We know many people will say they should stay together. And we understand that sentiment. But the reality is that they will not be housed together at the shelter. They will be placed in separate kennels.

We desperately want to prevent these dogs from experiencing the trauma of losing their mom and then having to deal with shelter life.

Can you foster Edna? Can you foster Toby? Can you adopt one or both?

Even if you cannot personally help, PLEASE SHARE THIS POST. The person who can save one of these dogs may be someone on your friends list.

They are scheduled to enter the shelter on Wednesday, November 4th, if no other arrangements can be made.

We know there are miracles out there. We are praying that one of them finds its way to Edna and Toby.

WHAT THE TRAINERS HAD TO SAY ABOUT ZANE! 😎

Zane’s got some SKILLS!

The trainers had some pretty nice things to say about yours truly!

Really smart boy with a good temperament.
I’ve got a nice stay and down command.
I know how to follow a lure really well.
I’ve got a good recall with a nice front (that’s training talk, folks!). And I could be a great little sport dog or agility dog!

They don’t know exactly what I am, but one thing’s for sure, but I’M RUGGEDLY CUTE!

But listen, if you take me home, don’t just boss me around with a bunch of commands! A guy like me needs more than that.

Kyleigh took the time to build a relationship with me through some clicker training and some REALLY tasty treats. And guess what? I LIKE KYLIE LOTS!

We also did some playing, because life shouldn’t be all work and no fun!

And let me tell you, folks, being at the training center was a BLAST! It was so nice getting out of that shelter and doing things with people.

I’m a SOCIAL boy! I wanna be out there with my humans, learning things, playing games, going places, and being part of somebody’s life.

Oh, and did I mention I hopped right into a car, sat down, and behaved myself for the ride?
Handsome, smart, well-mannered AND a good passenger?

I’m quite the catch!

Adopted

FROM A LITTLE PUPPY IN NEED TO A LIFETIME OF LOVE!

Many of you may remember this sweet little guy, Eeyore.

Eeyore was found running down the street with a severely injured eye. A kind citizen brought him to Animal Control, where he received the much-needed care he deserved. Sadly, his eye couldn’t be saved, but that hasn’t slowed this wonderful boy down one bit!

A wonderful volunteer opened her heart and home to foster him while he healed. And as his little body recovered, his sweet personality began to shine.

Then, something beautiful happened.
A family that another one of our amazing volunteers knew reached out because they were ready to adopt. They had shared their lives with dogs over the years, and had lost their previous beloved canine companion a couple months back.

Their son felt ready to open his heart and home again to another dog who needed a family.

And boy, was this the perfect match!

This young man and Eeyore clicked right away. There was just something so special about the two of them, like they were always meant to find each other.

By Sunday afternoon Eeyore and his new best friend spent the afternoon watching football together.

Just think about it… a little injured puppy who started out with so much uncertainty has now found his happily ever after.

Happy tails, sweet Eeyore! You didn’t just find a home. You found your person, your best friend, and your forever family.
