Our feeding program is built around one simple philosophy: forage first.

Our horses have free choice access 24/7 to round bales of either grassy alfalfa or grassy Bermuda hay, depending on supplier availability. Constant forage access helps support healthy digestion, reduces ulcers and boredom, and allows horses to eat the way nature intended.

Along with forage, once a day each horse receives:
• Alfalfa pellets
• Triple Crown Balancer
• Triple Crown Complete

The alfalfa pellets help provide quality protein and additional forage-based calories while supporting muscle development and overall condition.

Triple Crown Balancer supplies concentrated vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and digestive support to help fill nutritional gaps that forage alone may lack. It’s especially beneficial for maintaining healthy toplines, hooves, coats, and overall body condition without excessive calories. This brand is also great for metabolic management as it is low sugar and low starch. It also contains pro and pre-biotics for gut health.

Tackled Bambi’s mats and burrs this evening. Her tail doesn’t look bad but inside was one solid knot. Had some hair loss on her mane (no cutting) but it is fine because I could still braid it lol

Put a good leave in conditioner in both her mane and tail before braiding. Much better!!

🥰 Welcome to the Lazy M Equine Services training and consignment program “Chex Paints On Bambi” aka Bambi! Bred by Spot My Quarters Ranch. If you like color she has it!

Bambi’s owner sent her here to learn some stuff and then she will be available in time! She was halter broke and taught a few baby basics at weaning but wasn’t messed with much since. She’s a sweet curious girl. Loves the pets and loves. She’s also a shorty!

She is a 2023 but only about 13hh. She will be a short little tank! I will stick her tomorrow when I get to work on her mane and tail. She has some knots and she found all the burrs lol. I can’t wait to see how she will do! 💜

Indie is just 😍 This dude is going to be something special. He has that born broke mentality. He’s so gentle and smart. Today was his first time to ever pack a bit and he didn’t care one bit. He even flexed soft on the ground and backed up on the ground with it. He’s been learning lots of ground work since he was a weanling and he loves it. He even hand walks over and through obstacles. He’s spook free and sooo curious.

Yes I laid across his back. For all of a few seconds (I have video to prove it was literally seconds lol) on both sides. It did not hurt him, trust me lol. He could have cared less. Doing small things to prep them for when they do get ridden doesn’t hurt them. It just makes it that much easier when that time rolls around. No one is over here swinging a leg over and riding him yet.

Yall missed out not snatching him up when I was officially listing him. You can still get him but he won’t be as cheap as he was.
