Gojo is a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd/Husky/Pyrenees mix who just started his 3-week Daytrain program here at Strategic K9 Training (Spring Valley, CA). Our Daytrain pups come hang with us Monday–Friday, 9–4, where they get structure, training, and plenty of confidence-building time!

Welcome Jade! 🐾

Say hello to the beautiful Jade, a 4-year-old black Labrador who's now in her fourth day of our 3-week Day Train program at Strategic K9 Training, LLC in sunny Casa de Oro-Mount Helix, CA! ☀️

Jade's mom brought her to us with important goals: to help manage her reactivity and aggression towards certain triggers 😠➡️😊, and to build her overall confidence 💪.

Over the next few weeks, we're dedicated to helping Jade feel more secure 🤗 and respond calmly to the world around her 🌎. We'll be working on:

* Building her self-assurance in new situations 👍.
* Teaching her appropriate coping mechanisms for stressors 🧘‍♀️.
* Developing stronger impulse control and focus 👀.

We're absolutely thrilled to announce that we are now offering Day Care services for both our current clients and new clients in the Casa de Oro-Mount Helix area! 🏡🐶

Before your new furry friend can join the fun, we require a simple evaluation to ensure a safe and happy environment for all our dogs. Here are the steps for new daycare clients:

* Reach Out: Contact us to express your interest in our Day Care services! 📞📧

* Schedule Evaluation: We'll set up a convenient time for your dog's evaluation. This helps us get to know your pup's personality and ensure they'll thrive in our group setting.

* Evaluation Day: Bring your dog in for their evaluation! Our experienced team will assess their social skills and temperament.

* Ready for Fun! Once the evaluation is complete and successful, your dog is all set to enjoy our Day Care! 🎉

Meet Shadow!

Say hello to the energetic Shadow, a 7-8 month old Border Collie mix who's already on his second day of our 3-week Day Train program at Strategic K9 Training, LLC!

Shadow's mom brought him to us in Casa de Oro-Mount Helix for some key areas of focus:

* Loose-Leash Walking: We're working on transforming walks into enjoyable experiences by teaching him to stop pulling.

* Polite Greetings: Helping him learn not to jump on people, ensuring he greets everyone calmly with all four paws on the floor.

* "P**p Eating" Prevention: This is a common puppy behavior we're addressing with specific strategies to curb his habit of eating his own p**p.

Shadow is a smart boy, and we're excited to see the great progress he'll make during his time with us!

Welcome Little Norman!

Say hello to our adorable new student, Norman! This charming 11-week-old Lagotto Romagnolo just started his training journey with us today at Strategic K9 Training, LLC!

Norman's parents have a fantastic plan for this little guy: he'll be with us for 4 days of Day Training, giving him a great head start on foundational skills. After that, he'll transition right into our 2-week Board & Train program for a more immersive learning experience.

We're so excited to help Norman build a strong foundation in obedience, confidence, and good manners right from the start. He's already bringing so much joy to the training floor!

Welcome Mister. Leroy Honey!

Please give a warm welcome to the adorable Mister. Leroy Honey, who just started his 3-week Day Train program with us today at Strategic K9 Training, LLC!

This charming 10-month-old Papillon/Terrier mix is with us because his parents want to help him become an even more well-mannered companion. During his time here in Casa de Oro-Mount Helix, we'll be focusing on:

* Better Obedience: Building a strong foundation of polite manners and listening skills.

* No Jumping: Teaching him appropriate ways to greet people, keeping all four paws on the floor.

* Minimizing Barking & Whining: Helping him learn to communicate in calmer ways and reduce excessive vocalization.

Hello all 👋

We're thrilled to introduce Ashley Perwich, who joined our team in June 2025 as an Assistant Dog Trainer. Working closely with our head trainer, Kevin, Ashley will be assisting with appointments and leading monthly park classes for our clients. She brings a powerful combination of skill and passion to Strategic K9 Training.

Ashley's journey with dogs is deeply personal, beginning with her first rescue, Whiskey, who helped her through her own traumatic experiences. This connection fuels her specialization in behavior modification and aggression/reactivity, where she excels at handling even the most stubborn dogs. What truly sets Ashley apart is her ability to build a strong bond between owners and their dogs, ensuring that clients are active participants in their dog's training journey. Her dedication and proven success have earned her significant praise, and we're excited for her to bring her expertise to our clients.

We'd like to extend a warm, and long overdue, welcome to Dua Vang, our Kennel Technician who joined the Strategic K9 Training team in March 2025.

Dua has a fantastic background working with animals. Her journey started in high school, showing livestock, and she later spent six years at a doggy daycare, working her way up to a lead position. Her passion for dog training was ignited in 2021 after she got her Doberman puppy, Karma.
This experience motivated her to pursue dog training full-time. Since then, Dua has completed a course with Michael Ellis in Santa Rosa and has been focusing on pet obedience and behavior modification. We're so excited to finally and officially introduce her and her expertise to the team!

Hello friends 👋

Say hello to the gorgeous Miss. Luna, a 1.5-year-old German Shepherd who's absolutely thriving in her 3-week Board & Train program here at Strategic K9 Training, LLC!

This week marks two weeks for Luna with us, and she's been doing an amazing job! Her parents brought her in to help channel her impressive energy levels and sharpen up her listening skills.

And she's already making incredible progress! Luna is responding wonderfully to her training, showing us just how smart and eager to please she is. We're so proud of her dedication and how well she's adjusting.

Just one more week to go for this superstar! We can't wait to show her parents all the amazing strides she's made.

Welcoming Sweet Baci!

We're so happy to welcome Baci, a delightful 2-year-old Havapoo, to our 3-week Board & Train program here in Casa de Oro-Mount Helix!

Baci's mom is a familiar face and a truly wonderful person – she was our neighbor at our old shop, and all the dogs absolutely adore her! Because of the trusted relationship we've built over the years, she knew we were the right place to help Baci with some specific challenges.
During his time with us, we'll be focusing on:

* Marking Behavior: Helping Baci understand appropriate potty habits and reduce marking inside.

* Separation Tantrums: Working to build his independence and reduce anxiety when he's left alone, turning those tantrums into calm contentment.

* Constant Licking & Play Biting: Guiding Baci to channel his energy and excitement in more appropriate ways, teaching him gentler interactions.

We're already enjoying Baci's charming personality and are excited to help him become an even more polite and relaxed companion for his wonderful mom! Stay tuned for updates on his progress.

Celebrating Buddy's Progress!

Meet the magnificent Buddy, a handsome 7-year-old Pitbull/Great Dane mix! He's currently in his third week of a 4-week Board & Train program here in Casa de Oro-Mount Helix.

Buddy came to us needing significant help building his confidence. He's made incredible strides, and we're so proud of his journey so far. He's learning to navigate new situations with much more comfort.

While he's come a long way and is almost there, Buddy still needs lots of help with his confidence. We're dedicated to continuing to build his courage and ensure he's ready to thrive as he heads home next week!
