Just a few old men hanging out together. Cowboy is slowly gaining weight and we have recently added cool calories 100 to his daily rations we hope to get him in proper weight. It’s been a long road and getting him to eat has been a challenge his appetite is a roller coaster from day to day. His blindness makes putting him out to pasture risky. Thankfully he navigates his own pasture very well but with the lack of rain (till this past week) it’s not grown much. He’s loving the back yard though!
Brazin his mini frenemy (1/2 friend 1/2 enemy) is just enough companion for him. At 34 he’s looking great!

Cowboy, you are slowly coming along! I’m not sure how much time he has but I will love him till the end. He’s very old, he’s blind, he’s so hard to keep weight on, he’s the sweetest boy and filled with love! I’ve come to expect that he’ll never look like the rest and he has weeks where he eats great then weeks where he just decides he’s not eating much at all. But he has been making slow gain and that’s a huge plus for him! Some weeks he looses some weight others he gains. I think he’s depressed and lonely but the mini he was with started beating him up and the other horses go after him. Right now he’s happy sharing a fence line with the 2 and eats his hay only if I put it right there. Last pic is from September when we got him

Chicks are growing out beautifully! These were hatched March 28/29 BBS Ameraucanas and BCM also a few crossed but love the colors so far
