Got the Labs (plus pep) out to frolic in the snow. This will be Nykie’s last big group play for a while 🐾 so we made the most of it. So happy we have the space to be able to let them cut loose.

Congratulations to our newest CGC dogs!

Beau. Piper. Rocky. Ace.

This class has done so amazing over the last 15 weeks. The dogs and humans have come out of their shell and I don’t think I have laughed as much in a class as I did theirs last night.

Now we’re big kids, OUT INTO THE WORLD!

We have some spots open for Puppy PreK!

Have you ever wanted help with some of the hard work that goes into starting a puppy?

This program was created to help you through the start of puppy raising. It is designed to prevent the most common behaviors trainers are called on to fix later.
Your new puppy will stay and work with us during the bulk of the week and you get to practice your homework with them on the weekends.
We will send daily videos of what we are working on and the progress we are making together.
You can see your puppy transform right before your eyes. We will be working as a team to get your puppy started off on the right paw.

Here are some of the skills we’ll focus on with your puppy:
Potty training
Crate training
How to interact and not interact with their environment.
Building a confident puppy
House manners
Not jumping on guests
Door bolting
Couch jumping
And MORE!

This hybrid puppy training approach is the closest you can get to your trainer moving in without setting up the guest room!

This is for the puppies who have been in your home less than 4 weeks. If you have a puppy outside of that range please reach out and we can figure out a program tailored to your needs with your puppy.

Combined the Thursday classes and had a BLAST! We spent some time training in the real world at Colonie Center

The kids were rockstars and got tons of complements. We did some shopping, and had even more laughs.

Super proud trainer today! We spent the weekend at Schenectady Dog Training Club trial at Working Dogs NY, LLC and had a great time.

Wasn’t a perfect weekend but the dogs had a blast! Tons of laughs and a bunch of Qualifying scores. No trialing for my dogs but I think I am more nervous to spectate clients.

Mikayla and Aspen earned their last 2 legs for Rally Excellent

Jennie and Franklin earned their first 2 legs for Rally novice and 2 first place ribbons

Mezz and Walter earned 2 legs and a 3rd place ribbons

Mezz and Sadie P earned their first leg and a 4th place ribbon
Curt and Gemma earned their Rally Advanced with a first place!

I couldn’t be more proud of all of these teams. It is a HARD thing to do to go out solo in front of a judge and tons of spectators but they handled it great! Only a few tears 😉 can’t wait to see what these teams do going forward.

We have been planning for the warmer weather and hope you are too.

After some brain storming we have changed it up for the spring.

Rather than calculating our 3 categories of most mileage, most distance, most elevation. We want to focus on you taking your dog places out of your normal walking path

We are doing….
1. Rainy ducky award. Who gets out the most in the rain.
2. Flower challenge. A new color will be posted to find each day to take a picture with your pup with.
3. Scavenger hunt. Each week we will have 3 different things to have your dog find on a walk for points. A 1. 3. And 5. Point task.
We will calculate each week who has the most points.

We are offering combo pricing! If you signup from NOW until March 16th it will include our 8week walking challenge AND our spring scurry that will take place on May 3rd!
We really want you to get out adventuring with your pup to chase away the winter blues.

It was Ace’s birthday so we had to wear party hats!!! I am so impressed with how far this class has come. Almost finished with session 1. Then onto the CGC Class.

Boots outing day 2.

Was a big day, we went to old navy, petsmart, and bensons. He worked so hard through everything. We got his brain working a little and got to work through some of his “I don’t know how to do that” fit even though he 100% knows how to do what I asked.

But once he settled into being an out dog he was amazing!!!! Lots of focused attention. Tons of being calm while the world happened around him.

Mom will be home soon buddy!

Boots mom went on vacay and wanted to make sure he had some structure while she was gone. We did a pick up lesson and went into the real world Monday to strut our stuff! He was EXCELLENT!

We’re going to go out again today hoping for even better!

Well, I’m only a little late.

Merry Christmas from a whole lot of blurry pups from our secret santa. They all loved what they got.
They want every week to be secret Santa week.

Congratulations Walter and Kona on earning your 3rd leg for beginner novice obedience and finishing your title!! I could not be more proud of the two of them. Walter came out and CRUSHED it either his mom pulling a 194.5 and a FIRST PLACE!!
Kona had to roll with the punches when his mom was down for the count. I was able to step in and trial him. We earned a 192 with only having the morning together to practice last minute. Earning 3rd place I couldn’t be more proud of him. It’s not easy to switch handlers.

These two have worked so hard over the last year and it shows!
I’ve promised them both they don’t have to trial any more obedience.

Miles does everything with a whole lot of oomf!!

I have big goals for miles in the upcoming year, he loves to heel. Loves working. Takes things a little too seriously. That cattle dog part of his brain can’t help it. It makes him a heck of a little training buddy.
I can’t wait to see what this team does!

Well the babies passed their test last week and thought that school was out forever. 😂 not the best first outing we have had but I sure did laugh the most.

This group of puppies is always the best end to my week
