One thing that is super important with owning birds is variety! On top of the chop our birds get we often make different snacks like bird bread! It’s a super easy way to sneak in healthy foods without the birds knowing! It’s also a good one to use when diet converting a bird as well! This bird bread is a spin-off of one of birdtricks recipes with changes that better suited our flock. The first picture is the mixture before baking and the piece miss Jake is eating is what the bread looks like cooked. Instructions are pictured.

A lot of times when a beak becomes overgrown it can develop cracks and chips. Oz here had a pretty big chip in his lower mandible that we were able to get almost completely resolved. With regular trims it will return to normal!
