🐾𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭:

Our pack walks aren't your typical group dog walks! They're structured, trainer-led walks desinged to give dogs and their owners an opportunity to practice calm, controlled behavior around other dogs, people and everyday distractions.

We typically walk in a single-file formation, allowing dogs to maintain comfortable distances while practicing leash manners, neutrality, and passing other dogs appropriately.

Whether your dog is a social butterfly, a little nervous, reactive or simply needs more practice around distractions, you're welcome to join us! We just ask that all dogs remain leashed and that everyone respects each other's space.

Our walks are donation-only and open to everyone!

Come enjoy some fresh fall air, work on your dog's skills, and kick off Halloween with us!

We’re heading to Manito Park Saturday morning for this week’s community Pack Walk.

Expect a structured group walk with plenty of real-world distractions and a few training opportunities mixed in along the way. We’ll practice calmly moving around other dogs and people while still making sure everyone has room to work comfortably.
At the end, we’ll give the dogs a little time to decompress and we’ll stick around afterward if you have questions.

As always, our Pack Walks are donation-based and open to the community. See you in the morning!

Come spend your Saturday morning with us for a little training, movement, and time around other dogs and handlers.

We’ll meet as a group, go over the plan for the morning, and then head out for our walk. Along the way, we’ll add in a few structured exercises and offer tips where we can.
There’s never any pressure to keep up with the group or participate in every exercise — give your dog space, take breaks, and make the walk work for you.

It might not look like much, but there's a whole lot of training happening in this picture!

A solid stay isn't just about holding a position. It's about learning to remain there until released, even when there's something much more exciting going on.

Sometimes the biggest training wins are the ones that look the least exciting! ❤️🐾

🎃 Odie has officially entered his spooky season era! 👻

Skeletons? Check. Giant dinosaur? Check. Questionable-looking parrot? Also check.

Just another perfectly normal day of shopping with Odie. 😂

But behind the Halloween fun is a great opportunity to practice staying calm, focused, and confident around all sorts of strange sights and sounds! 🐾

🐾 𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓 𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐁𝐎𝐀𝐑𝐃 & 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍 𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐖!🐾

We've got quite the crew keeping us busy lately! From teenage mischief to building confidence and learning new social skills, each of these dogs has their own personality, story, and goals they're working toward.

🐾 Haiti – The Future College Girl! 🎓

This beautiful black Shepherd has spent much of her life living separately from other dogs. With college on the horizon and a new four-legged roommate in her future, Haiti is learning how to navigate canine relationships, communicate appropriately, and peacefully share her space with another dog.

🐾 Odie – Back for Round Two!

Odie first joined us as a puppy, and now this spunky Shepherd is back for a little fine-tuning! We're building on his existing foundation, with an extra focus on social confidence and helping him feel more comfortable navigating different situations.

🐾 Sophie – Finding Her Footing!

A big move across the country is a lot of change for anyone, including our four-legged friends! Sweet Sophie has found her transition a little overwhelming, so we're working on helping her settle into her new surroundings, manage her anxiety, and build confidence through structure and consistency.

🐾 Odin – The Mischievous Teenager!

This handsome Doberman is right in the thick of his teenage phase! His family gave him a wonderful foundation, and now we're helping him polish his social skills, practice polite greetings, better understand other dogs' cues, and take his puppy obedience to the next level.

❤️ Four very different dogs, four very different training journeys, and a whole lot of personality!

𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐚 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥. ❤️

Martini spent over a year as the longest-term resident at Blue Mountain Humane Society, ready for her fresh start. She had an incredible group of volunteers who absolutely adored her, but shelter life wasn't always easy for this special girl.

Thanks to the kindness of an anonymous donor who sponsored a training opportunity for Martini, she was given another chance to shine. We were thrilled to be part of her journey and help show the world what those who loved her already knew — underneath that big personality was a truly wonderful dog with so much love to give.

Finding the right home isn't always a quick process. For Martini, it was especially important to find a family who would embrace her goofy personality, appreciate her quirks, understand her needs, and love her for exactly who she is.

𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞, 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐢 𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞! ❤️

We couldn't be more excited for this goofy, snuggly meatball to finally have a family of her very own. A place to settle in, be loved, and start making all the wonderful memories that come with being someone's dog.

To the shelter volunteers who loved her, the people who followed her journey, shared her posts, and helped spread the word, and especially the generous donor who helped make this opportunity possible — 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊 𝐘𝐎𝐔. So many people played a part in helping Martini reach this moment, and we're incredibly grateful.

🐾 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐃𝐨𝐠𝐬, 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 🐾

We want to highlight a very special crew of four: 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐫, 𝐒𝐮𝐞, 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞.

When this family came to us, things at home had become really difficult. There had been multiple fights, injuries, and a growing need to keep everyone separated. Their family was managing a rotation to prevent conflict, but they knew that wasn’t a sustainable long-term solution.

More than anything, they wanted their dogs to be able to 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲.

We started by bringing the two dogs who were having the most difficulty into our program for three weeks. During the final week, the other two joined us so we could begin working toward bringing the entire crew back together.

𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐝. ❤️

Today, 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐫, 𝐒𝐮𝐞, 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫, safely coexisting with the structure, guidance, and boundaries they needed.

Their family knew they needed help, and we’re incredibly grateful they trusted us—and trusted the process. Their commitment at home, combined with the work these four dogs put in, has made such an incredible difference.
