Before the month of April comes to an end, we want to remind you it’s Heartworm Awareness month!

Why is testing for heartworm important?

Testing for heartworm is crucial in early detection of infection before symptoms appear in your pet, therefore, avoiding potentially fatal disease. Second, it ensures more effective treatment and preventing severe damage to a pet's heart and lungs. Annual tests are essential to confirm that preventive medications are working and to avoid harmful reactions from giving preventives to an already infected pet. Last, but not least, testing makes sure your pet is safe in the case a month of preventives is missed here and there.

The next couple weeks we will be busy prepping for our Grand Opening and Open House on May 30th. In the morning, Medlar Coffee Co. will be onsite serving up some of their specialty drinks for you to enjoy. 712 BBQ will then be joining us at 11- throughout the afternoon- for some great BBQ you’ll want to try. Complementary refreshments will also be provided as you take a tour of the clinic or while enjoying some outdoor games. There will be prize drawings for services, products, and other goodies too. We hope to see you there!
