Come make bath bombs with us next week 😊. My kids love bath bombs and as with everything else body care, it’s not always easy to find them made without junk and toxins.

Come join us (yes, me and the kids) next week and we’ll show you and your kiddos how to make them too! Each will go away with their own mold, as well as their own pre-made bath bomb.

This class is free to the public, thanks to the generosity of .renonv but it would help us greatly if you all sign up ahead of time. 🛁

This one is for my jam makers.

One of my rules for jam making is to clean up immediately, lest I fall into dish disrepair later on. For anyone who’s made a batch of jam, you know what a sticky mess you’re in for at the end of it. The longer you wait to clean up, the worst it is.
For me, hot water is the key to success.
By the time I finish up, I already have the kettle on. I fill a glass bowl, dunk all of my sticky utensils, then I pour a couple cups of that hot water into my jam pot.
This refreshing beverage was inspired on a hot day similar to today.
Driven as usual by my endless pursuit to limit waste whenever possible.

In college my roommates joked that I was a wizard, because of my ability to seemingly “create something out of nothing”. These days, my kids think I’m a magician 😁.

This is our second “jam day ritual”. Jam scrap Agua Fresca

Do you have a favorite way to create something out of nothing? We’d love to know!

Afternoon pick me up! 😋
One of my favorite things to do after making a fresh batch of jam is to make a parfait.

It’s built in a small but rewarding ritual at the end of the whole bit that we all look forward to. Parfaits are fun because it’s kind of a choose your own adventure.

✨If you have yet to try a parfait with a TRH jam + granola combo, put it on your fun list.

Over here the kids like to laden a big spoonful of jam on top of unsweetened Greek yogurt, add granola and often times fruit. Carlos (our non-dairy family member) makes his with chia pudding. Yes, we know there’s non-dairy yogurt. He doesn’t even like things that pretend to be yogurt.

Are you a parfait fan? Have any favorite combos we should try?

One of my favorite things about farmers market is the exchanging of ideas. Nearly every market I take home new ideas on what to do with the products that I have created. I go through seasons of real fatigue when it comes to meal prep and sometimes, while I do enjoy the physical act of preparing a dish, the idea part becomes a real metal slog. This week our friend Aric came up to me and lead with “you have to try this”. Well, we did. Roasted Brussels sprouts and sliced apple, prepared in olive oil and our Moroccan vinegar, then topped with garlic chili crisp oil.

The kids were very skeptical to see apples mixed into their Brussels sprouts, even though we mix fruit into our salad greens all the time 😁. It was a total hit, enjoyed by all, and will definitely be put into the food rotation.

Yesterday we finally had a proper pizza party to celebrate the launch of our new chili crisp oil and make the whole vision come to life. The best part was Carlos talking his mom into working on some promotional material with him. We goofed for hours and were all in stitches over it. We ended up with one good sound bite, which is what you’ll hear at the opening of this video.

This is your reminder that our new chili crisp oil (pizza inspired), will be available for the first time ever at tomorrow! This chili crisp oil is so fun and flavorful. Think Italian seasoning meets chili crisp oil. We’ve made ours with Calabrian chilis, loads of herbs, and very unique to us - crispy fava. For those of you who have been asking us to make a chili crisp oil without Szechuan peppercorn, I hope you give this one a try.
