Forever home update & DNA results for the scruffy little guy the world fell in love with🥹🫶🏼

Felix’s forever mama has been sending us updates🏡 Seeing him so loved, so adventurous, so comfortable, and so completely at home has brought us so much peace💛

But something that feels extra healing for our hearts is getting these results! I love that there’s still more we can discover about him, even after we said goodbye. It feels like a little piece of him we still get to hold onto🏔️🌞

7 years of saying “let’s do it” to ideas that only you and me would be crazy enough to dream up🤍

7 years ago today the world truly conspired for us to meet. It was so random, it couldn’t have been by chance. Since then, we’ve worked hard to build a life that at one point only existed in our heads. Sometimes I look around at this crazy life we’ve created, one filled with rescue dogs, adventures, and so much love, and genuinely can’t believe we really did it.

Thank you for making me feel safe enough to dream this big, and wild enough to actually go live it with me🐾🫶🏼

May 21 was our sweet Bodie’s birthday🩵 We weren’t able to properly celebrate at the time because of everything going on with Felix, so we made up for it today!

On our drive back to California from Montana, we stopped in Tahoe for a day filled with all of Bodie’s favorite things, beach hopping all morning and a magical hike for the second half of the day🌊🏔️

Bodie is 2😭😱 I can’t believe how fast he’s growing up. Time has flown by since the fateful day we crossed paths with the cutest little scruffy street dog who would become our forever dog and pack leader!

Bodie, we love you so much!!! Not a day goes by that you don’t make better. You were the perfect addition to our family and the best thing that could have ever happened to this mission. We’re so grateful for you, the pups that join our pack are lucky to have you, and I think it’s safe to say the world is obsessed with you hahaha!

We truly cherish these little moments between packs when we get you all to ourselves🫶🏼 Happy birthday, buddy🌞💕 Please stop growing up so fast!
