Calling all dog lovers with a desire to help our shelter dogs! Applications are open for the Fall 8-week session of our Shelter Dog Wellbeing Internship. No prior animal experience is needed.

Hosted at our Lahaska Shelter, up to four participants (ages 18 & up) will learn how to help dogs thrive and relax in a shelter environment and help prepare them to succeed in their future homes through positive reinforcement training methods.

Our dogs will wuff you for aiding in providing a mentally enriched environment for them in the shelter.

Sessions will be held on Thursdays, 10:30 am-12:30 pm from September 18 – November 6, 2025.

Update:
Honey Beary is ready to put their bus up for sale.
The fundraiser has been steady, but not at goal.

Posting here again with hopes that this can still happen. BUT being realistic that it may not.

If I don’t meet goal, I’m happy to refund all donations.
If you’d prefer to not be refunded, then I’ll be posting polls on how the funds should be spent for the trailer rehab (on the trailer I have) along with vids showing the progress.
