We’ve been working hard to get our new underwater treadmill up and running since mid-year last year. It’s been quite the journey with a few bumps along the way — our first one fell through, and the second one came with its own set of snags. We were aiming for a March launch, but unfortunately, we’re not quite there yet.

That being said, our treadmill room is looking better than ever! We've got fresh paint, new floors, and a brand-new shower stall. Our room has been ready to go for a while now, but there were some unexpected shipping delays, and even some of our packages got lost along the way! But the good news is, all the pieces are finally here, and we’re just waiting on confirmation for installation and training dates.

We’re SO excited to get this treadmill up and running, and we can’t wait to share it with all of you! Thank you for your patience, and stay tuned — we’ll be ready to go soon!

Shock wave is a noninvasive, high-energy sound wave treatment used commonly in veterinary medicine. It helps to relieve pain, improve quality of healing, and facilitate a shorter recovery time. Shock wave can be used for many conditions including lameness, soft tissue injuries, osteoarthritis, and chronic pain. We utilize shockwave for both our canine and equine patients here at Pilchuck.

Pictured is Daisy, who receives shockwave therapy as one portion of her rehabilitation plan following a tear of her cranial cruciate ligament. In our canine patients, we can commonly use shockwave therapy without the need for sedation which is a huge plus! However, the treatment is quite loud so everyone in the room uses cotton ball earplugs.

It seems Santa is keeping a close eye on us this year... and who better to do the checking than his trusty scout reindeer, Dwight!

We’re all on our best behavior here at PVH, but let's just say... we may have bribed Dwight with plenty of beef liver treats to make sure he gives Santa a glowing report.

Fingers crossed that our efforts pay off when Santa’s sleigh lands this year!
