Crazy Sexy Cool (aka Cricket) x Undulata’s Nutcracker C**t Has Arrived!

On April 1st, we welcomed a striking c**t, bred through the ICSI program and born right here at the farm.

Sired by the legendary Undulata’s Nutcracker (Caramac x Christmas In New York ERB) and out of our decorated mare Crazy Sexy Cool (WCC, WC, RWC) (Wine Women And Song x Arrowhead’s Moonglow), this c**t is a special addition to our program—especially meaningful as we reflect on Nutcracker’s incredible influence on the breed.

He’s already showing off the spark, presence, and promise we strive for in every foal produced from our top athlete mares and world-class studs at .

Huge thanks to and for their expert care. As always a shout out to recip mare Eminem, who’s proving to be an incredible mom.

Next stop for Cricket is Dogwood Horse Show!

Spring is in full swing at Miron Equine Center.
We’re grateful for plenty of space for new foals to stretch their legs and settle into the world. With large, foal-safe paddocks and dry lots for those needing extra care — whether it’s a new arrival or a beloved retiree — everyone has room to thrive.

Our new, oversized foaling stalls have been a welcome addition this season, too.

There’s nothing better than the sight of a healthy foal running in the morning light.

Spring is on its way, and there’s nothing like the crisp sunrises and golden sunsets at MEC to welcome it in.

Who needs the internet or TV to check on the storm when you have horses? Butternut says, “No worries, it’ll pass.” And Dani adds, “Besides, we’ve got a run-in shed!” Old-fashioned storm tracking at its best!

There’s no better way to truly experience the than walking (running) it at sunrise. Before the sun peeks over the horizon, the horses are at their most active—fresh, curious, and full of energy as the full moon fades. The yearlings, of course, had to investigate my headlamp… always keeping their life interesting!

Mission Accomplished: Foaling Mare Ready!

In December, knowing winter was just around the corner, we took on the challenge and risk of extending the barn for a second time. It was a calculated risk, but with the support of our trusted partners at Pleasant View Construction and Basham Electric, we moved forward.

With both current and new clients needing a place to foal in Simpsonville, KY, we had to make it happen. The expansion included new foaling stalls and additional turnout pastures with waterers to ensure the best possible after care.

Taking on a construction project in winter isn’t for the faint of heart, but we committed to seeing it through. Despite harsh weather, late nights (Basham finished the waterers at 10 p.m. in snow and sleet), and unexpected delays—like waiting on stall mats—we welcomed the first mares into the new stalls on Friday, February 28.

There were a few tense moments as some mares arrived earlier than expected, requiring adjustments in the existing barn, but everything came together. What started as a farm with just seven stalls has now grown to a total of 25 stalls, plus two additional emergency stalls in the newly built hay barn by Pleasant View—ensuring we’re fully prepared for any situation. I pushed the team to the brink with my risk-taking, but they rose to the challenge, and the results speak for themselves. It was a challenge, but now the stalls are ready—just in time for a busy March.

A sincere thank you to everyone who helped make this possible and to our boarders, we appreciate your patience during the process.

Diego Miron and the Miron Equine Center Team!
