☀️🐾 Heat Stroke Can Turn Deadly in Minutes 🐾☀️
As temperatures rise, so does the risk of heat stroke in our pets. Dogs and cats cannot cool themselves as efficiently as people, making them especially vulnerable during hot and humid weather. Heat stroke is a medical emergency and can quickly become life-threatening.
🚨 Watch for these warning signs:
• Excessive panting
• Heavy drooling
• Bright red gums or tongue
• Weakness or lethargy
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Stumbling or loss of coordination
• Collapse or seizures
💡 Prevention Tips:
✅ Always provide fresh water and shade
✅ Limit outdoor activity during the hottest parts of the day
✅ Walk pets early in the morning or later in the evening
✅ Keep pets in air-conditioned areas when possible
❌ Never leave your pet in a parked vehicle—even for a few minutes
⚠️ If you suspect heat stroke:
Move your pet to a cool area immediately, offer cool (not ice-cold) water, and seek veterinary care right away. Early treatment can save lives.
