IS YOUR NEW PUPPY A "LAND SHARK"? 🦈

We know the feeling. You love that fluffy face, but the constant biting, the "accidents" on the rug, and the midnight zoomies are exhausting. You have a million questions, and Google is giving you a million conflicting answers.

Stop guessing so you can enjoy your puppy even more! Our Puppy Start Right Preschool is designed specifically for the critical 8–16 week window. Led by Erin Bibles, CPDT-KA, we bridge the gap between "puppy chaos" and a confident, well-behaved companion.
We tackle your biggest stressors head-on: ✅ The "Ouch" Factor: Proven solutions for puppy biting. ✅ Potty Training: How to make the "light bulb" go off faster. ✅ Safe Socialization: Yes, you can (and should!) socialize before full vaccinations. We show you how to do it safely.

🛡️ Safety is our #1 priority. We use professional-grade disinfection protocols specifically for this class, and we maintain a strict "healthy puppy" policy so your pup stays safe while they learn.
Don't wait until the "teens"—this critical window goes fast!

🐾 Who: Puppies ages 8–16 weeks 📩 Next Steps: Reach out to us today at 575-388-4101 or email [email protected] to find out more!

This class is an open enrollment format, meaning if we have puppies meeting requirements to take it - we are a "go"!

Erin Bibles, CPDT-KA, will be leading the interactive Big Feelings Workshop on Monday June 15th at 5:00 pm. It is for those of us living with dogs who experience big feelings—whether those feelings stem from excitement, fear, or frustration. The workshop is geared at dogs who may lunge or bark at anything from other dogs, wildlife, and cars to joggers, strollers, or livestock. It’s also for the dogs who shrink back, hide behind you, and struggle to feel safe in the world. These are common challenges with adolescent dogs, too!

This workshop focuses on helping you better understand your dog’s emotional state and behavior. You'll learn how to read your dog’s signals, recognize what might be driving their reactions, and practice simple skills and games to support calmer, more confident behavior.

While we can't guarantee complete resolution of your dog's challenges, you can expect noticeable improvement with consistent effort and giving your dog the right support. The goal is to help you and your dog move through life with more ease, understanding, and connection. Having a reactive or sensitive dog can feel isolating—you’re not alone. Join us for this human-only workshop to learn, share, and find support.

Prerequisite: All Things Dog Workshop

This workshop is just $15 for up to two people from one household.

Call our office at 575-388-4101 or email [email protected] for more information.

Erin Bibles, CPDT-KA, teaches Manners, Please! Level II beginning Tuesday June 16th at 5:00 pm. This 4 week long course expands on the foundational skills (checking in with the handler, loose leash walking, walking together, sit, down, stay, come when called, polite greetings and settle). This class will establish the foundation for off-leash training. Hand signals will be added. Attention building activities will be interspersed through each class.

Dogs will learn to check in with their human handler and perform foundational skills on cue in environments with increasing levels of distractions, while increasing the distance between the dog and handler. People will learn additional effective relationship supportive handling skills using observation and clear communication. All activities are designed to support the human-animal bond. We’ll add some spice with some fun games to enhance both bonds and skills.

Erin makes sure to challenge those who are ready for it and support those needing a little extra help. It's a dynamic class, meeting each team where they are in the moment.

Please note: Manners, Please! Level ll may be repeated.

All Things Dog is a prerequisite for this class. Manners, Please! Level I may be a prerequisite for this class - speak with instructor. Please note: Manners, Please! Level II may be repeated.

Call our office at 575-388-4101 or email [email protected] for more information.

Help us give a warm welcome to the two new additions to our team!

Dannika Maldonado is a familiar face having 2.5 years of prior experience working at Mis Amigos and now she’s back to take on the role of supervisor. She is a mother to her 3 year old daughter Aurora and has a 3 year old Belgian Malinois/Pit bull mix and a 1 year old German Shepherd. She enjoys hiking, training her dogs, and working out in her free time. Dannika is ecstatic to provide the best service to you and your pets.

Our second addition is Arden Couturier. Arden has been in the pet industry for 12 years and has the skills to show for it. From being a groomer in San Antonio, Arden has obtained a deep understanding of breed-specific cuts and coat maintenance. We value his precise attention to detail and genuine compassion for animals. Arden will begin working along side our seasoned groomer, Jesse, starting May 4th. Give us a call to book your dog for grooming soon, Arden’s schedule is filling up!
