Hello fellow fur baby lovers and pet parents!

My name is Darcy Obar from Obar's House and Hound, and I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to care for your precious fur kids and to get to know your family!

As we move forward, I want to inform you of some new policies and procedures that will be implemented for NEW CLIENTS starting May 1st, 2026. My goal is to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for everyone involved, which is why I will require a "meet and greet" session prior to any stay or drop-in. This meeting will help me understand the routines, feeding requirements, and specific needs of your pets, as well as allow us to bond!

Here’s a breakdown of my pricing:

- **Overnight Stay**:
- $65/night in Silver City
- $70/night outside of Silver City
- A $20 gas surcharge may apply depending on distance.

- **Drop-ins**:
- $35/day for up to two visits
- $40/day for three or more visits.
- Services include feeding, pottying, small walks if needed, administering medications, providing treats, and offering plenty of cuddles and playtime.

Please note that overnight stays are conducted in YOUR home only. I am committed to securing and protecting your property. I will check your mail daily, receive packages, and empty the trash on the allocated days. Any dishes I may use will be washed and returned to their respective places.

I do not require a guest bedroom and am perfectly comfortable sleeping on a sofa or recliner if a bed isn’t available.

To ensure the best service, I encourage early bookings as my schedule tends to fill up quickly. For stays longer than one day, a deposit equivalent to one night’s stay will be required upon booking. This will be deducted from the total bill for your stay. If you cancel your reservation, the deposit will be retained to compensate for potential lost earnings from unable to rebook those dates.

I kindly ask that the total bill for your stay be settled in full before your departure date. Acceptable forms of payment include cash, CashApp, PayPal, and Zelle, which I appreciate as I’ve experienced issues with non-payment in the past.

Rest assured, I will maintain the condition of your home as it was upon your departure. Any extra cleaning will incur a small charge, depending on the specifics of the task.

Please note, I will provide all of my own food, drinks, snacks, and coffee during overnight stays. Due to severe allergies, I will no longer be accepting indoor cats; however, this does not apply to my existing customers. Outdoor cats, chickens, and goats can certainly be discussed!

Throughout your absence, I will ensure to keep in touch with you via text and pictures every couple of days, but please feel free to reach out anytime with questions or concerns.

I truly look forward to getting to know you and your furry family members, providing them with loving and attentive care. I welcome suggestions and aim to maintain open communication.
