Are you Fear Free? At Robinson’s Rescue, our staff are all Fear Free Shelter certified, training designed to help animal welfare professionals better recognize and reduce fear, anxiety, and stress in the animals in their care. For a high-volume spay/neuter clinic, that matters. Many of the pets who come through our doors are already nervous. They are in an unfamiliar place, surrounded by new people, sounds, and smells, and about to undergo surgery. Understanding animal behavior and knowing how to adjust our handling can make that experience safer and less stressful. We believe affordable and free veterinary care should still be thoughtful, compassionate, and of the highest quality. Fear Free Shelters

We are so saddened to hear of the passing of Beignet, loved by Megan Gardner. Beignet will always hold a special place in Robinson’s Rescue history as our very first Best in Sheaux winner and one of our beloved Calendar stars. There will never be another first, and there will certainly never be another Beignet. We are so grateful we got to know and celebrate such a special pup.

Consider this the official announcement: October 22nd is going to the dogs because Dogtoberfest is taking over Great Raft Brewing once again!
We are talking great beer, good food, music, local vendors, dogs dressed in outfits they definitely did not pick out themselves, and an entire evening built around having fun while supporting Robinson’s Rescue. Fifteen years of Dogtoberfest calls for a pretty good party, and we have every intention of making this the biggest one yet!
Save the date now. Tell your friends. Inform your dog. More details coming soon! 🐕🐕

We had a great time at the Winnie's Way 5K and Clear the Shelters at Sci-Port Discovery Center on Saturday. Getting out into our community to talk about responsible animal welfare and make sure people know about Robinson’s Rescue’s affordable and free spay/neuter programs is a big part of our mission. A busy Saturday well spent!
