National Pet Diabetes Month! 🩸
Diabetes isn’t just a human problem — cats and dogs can develop it too, especially as they age. It’s not caused by sugar in your pet’s diet; instead, genetics, obesity, and certain health conditions play a bigger role. We don’t normally check glucose in healthy pets, but annual bloodwork in pets 7+ years old — or sooner if you notice increased thirst or urination — helps catch problems early.
