I received a message late last night about a dog we put on this page. A big Shepard mix with incredibly sad eyes. A women named Lori saw our post and drove to the shelter and adopted Tara that day. Tara went home to a dog brother and now has Lori’s grandchildren around her that she adores. It’s messages like that, that make us so incredibly happy. Lily and I have said from the beginning we can’t save them all but we can try to save one at a time. Thank you Lori for the update. I am so happy Tara is doing so good!!

Our buildings are doing their best… but this wild weather is winning the fight, and our old structures are working harder than a beagle trying to steal a cheeseburger. Our dogs need backup. 🐶💪

• Portable heaters (our buildings are older than half our volunteers’ playlists)

The cold has been brutal, and with our buildings being… let’s call them “vintage,” everything is overworking to keep our pups warm. If you’ve got spare warmth sitting in a closet, garage, or linen cabinet, our animals would be so grateful to have it.

Drop-offs can be made right at the shelter — and yes, you get bonus points, tail wags, and the satisfaction of being a certified RSMSPCA Winter Warrior. ❄️🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️
