🚨 EXTREME HEAT WARNING FOR TOMORROW 🚨
Attention pet parents! Dangerously hot temperatures are headed our way tomorrow. Our furry friends can’t cool down as easily as we do, so please take extra precautions to keep them safe and comfortable.
Here is what you need to know:
✅️Short & Supervised: Limit outdoor time to quick bathroom breaks only. 10 minutes is plenty; avoid leaving them out for extended periods.
✅️Hydration is Key: Keep water bowls topped up with fresh, cool water. Throwing in a few ice cubes helps!
✅️Protect the Paws: Pavement, asphalt, and artificial grass can scorch their paws. Stick to shaded grass and schedule walks for the early morning or late evening when the ground cools down.
✅️Seek Shade & AC: If they must be outside briefly, ensure they have immediate access to accessible shade. Otherwise, keep them indoors where it's cool.
‼️NEVER Leave Pets in Cars: Even with the windows cracked, parked cars reach fatal temperatures in minutes. Leave them at home!
Let's keep our community's pets safe and cool. Check on your neighbors' outdoor pets too! 🐾❤️
