Last week, Nourish Farms had the pleasure of preparing and sharing a delicious meal with individuals at St. Luke United Methodist Church, alongside BabyCare, another local nonprofit supporting families and babies in the Sheboygan community.

Families, parents, and children did fantastic work making a delicious meal utilizing local chickens from Farmcraft Farm and fresh veggies from Springdale Farm CSA and Nourish Farms. Johannah Wenig graciously shared an inspiring message with the group as well.

August's Harvest of the Month is beets!

🥕Beets are root vegetables, belonging to the Amaranthaceae family. Related to other favorites like Swiss chard, spinach, and quinoa.
💪Beets are nutrient rich containing folate, manganese, potassium, and fiber.
💜Beets are naturally very vibrant. The color comes from betalain which is a natural antioxidant.

Students from Boys & Girls Clubs of Sheboygan County harvested beets in the greenhouse just last week!
