We are in desperate need of foster or forever home. This beautiful girl is going to be leaving her loving home of many years. Not because her people do not love her, but because they love all of their family, her included. Their young daughter has developed a severe allergy and Kit must find a new home. Note: Kit is very social. Here is what her mom writes about her:
"Meet Kitsune (Kit for short)! She is about 8 years old but don’t let that number fool you, she still acts as though she’s a kitten! Kit has the most amazing, playful, silly attitude! She loves toys, both playing with her humans and alone! She sits in the craziest positions, and will never fail to make you smile! Kit loves to bird and chipmunk watch. Don’t worry, she has you protected.
She can be super vocal and will let you know if she needs anything or you aren’t doing something right! Kit loves to snuggle, both humans and dogs alike--but she has not had much experience with other cats. She is the most social cat. Babies, kids, adults-she loves them all! Usually, she is in the center of the room getting all the pets or causing chaos during board games, but if she’s ready for a break she will kindly take her leave.
Kit is a grazer for her food; she’ll eat when she’s hungry, but she isn’t the biggest fan of wet food. She does great drinking water out of a fountain, but be warned, open bowls of water, sinks, and toilets aren’t safe from her splashing in them! Kit does have a tendency to be mischievous. She loves to try and eat human food, and all sorts of things she shouldn’t (ribbon, plastic, kid toys, tags, and most definitely all plants). But on the bright side, it means she’ll help you keep the house clean! She also has a sense of adventure and tries to sneak outside. Scratching can sometimes be an issue but is usually toned down or resolved if you cut her nails. That’s right, she lets you do them yourself! She has never had an accident outside of the litter box even through all the moves she's done with us!
Kit is really such a silly, sweet girl. We absolutely adore her. My daughter is allergic and that is the only reason we'd ever think of doing this. She's is such a great companion."
NOTE: Kit was recently at the vet. She is negative for feline leukemia and FIV. She may tend toward hyperthyroidism, but that remains to be verified. If she has it, we have had many cats with it and with different options, they have all lived healthy, happy lives.
