🐹💕 Happy Foster Friday: Meet Cindy & Terri! 💕🐹

Looking for the perfect pair of chatty little roommates who live for snacks and sisterly drama? Say hello to Cindy and Terri, a bonded pair of 4-year-old female Abyssinian guinea pig sisters ready to steal your heart (and your veggies).

These two are sweet, sassy, and very talkative — they’ve got a lot to say, especially when it’s mealtime (which, to them, is basically all the time). They’ll happily take snacks from your hand and then immediately let you know they are absolutely famished again five minutes later. Classic.

Their favorite treats?

🥬 Arugula
🫑 Red bell peppers
🍪 Basically anything from the Oxbow catalog

Cindy and Terri are foodies to the core, and while they may have the occasional sisterly squabble over who gets the best bite, it’s all love at the end of the day. 🥰

🏕️ Terri is the chill hammock queen — she loves lounging in style.
🌾 Cindy prefers the cozy hay box life — snoozing and snacking is her thing.

They both enjoy burrowing in their hay, exploring fleece tunnels, and making sure you never forget their snack schedule. These girls have been together their whole lives and are looking for a quiet, loving home where they can keep being the adorable little goofballs they are.

Whether you're walking dogs, scooping litter boxes, fostering bottle babies, hauling supplies, transporting animals, or just showing up with a smile on the hard days—you are the reason this rescue runs. We wish we could tell each of you just how much your impact spreads. Because it’s a lot.

You are the behind-the-scenes heroes who never ask for credit. And while we couldn’t do this without you, more importantly—we wouldn’t want to.

🐾 Meet Carver Day! 🐾

This 3-month-old mixed breed pup (Pittie, German Shepherd, maybe a splash of hound?) is equal parts brains, heart, and adorable floppy ears. 💛

Carver is a fast learner who already knows sit and come, and he’s working on drop it, leave it, and fetch like a champ! He’s great with people, kids, and other dogs — polite on walks, snuggly at home, and full of that classic puppy joy. 🐶

He’s doing awesome with potty training, sleeps in his kennel (especially if he’s near his people), and is even learning how to play independently. Like any puppy, he gets a little mouthy when he’s tired — but a quick game or walk usually does the trick. 🎾

Carver had a rough start, but you’d never know it. He’s sweet, curious, and ready to be someone’s sidekick for life. He’d love a home with another dog, some kiddos, or just an active family who wants a best buddy.

Today we’re sending a huge THANK YOU to the amazing Joni Holek!

Joni has been a dedicated volunteer with MSC for two years, and we are beyond lucky to have her on our team. She wears so many hats — serving as our Foster Program Manager, playing a vital role on our Adoptions team, and always stepping up wherever help is needed.

From taking in temp furlough fosters, marketing them like a pro during their short stays, talking to adopters at events, and even going above and beyond to pick up dogs to meet fosters when timing gets tricky — Joni never hesitates to do what it takes to keep animals safe and cared for.

Meet the Vacuum Litter! 🌀🐶
And don’t worry — unlike your vacuum, these puppies don’t suck. 😉

Hoover, Dyson, Shark, Bissell, and Eureka are 3-month-old Catahoula Leopard Dog/Klee Kai mixes, and they’re ready to sweep you off your feet. 💕

They’ve got snuggles on turbo mode, treat detection on high power, and zoomies set to MAX. And drop a snack? They will clean your floor. Who needs a vacuum anyway when you have a dog.

This Friday, they’ll get their final vaccines and spay/neuter surgeries — then they’ll be ready to plug into their forever homes! 🏡✨

What love can do. 🖤

When Enya arrived at our shelter as a stray last August, she was 8 years old and clearly had a hard life. But even through cracked skin and tired eyes, there was hope—and we saw it.

Fast forward to today, and Enya is thriving. Thanks to the Grey Muzzle Grant and a whole lot of TLC from our staff and volunteers, she’s become the radiant, joyful girl you see here 💚

She’s such a beloved part of the rescue that our team built her a room of her own—complete with a cozy dog bed, soft blankets, a donated couch, a rug, and even art on the walls. She’s surrounded by love every single day.

Enya needs to be the only pet in the home, but once you meet her, you'll understand why she doesn’t need to share. She’s sweet, affectionate, and absolutely adored by everyone who knows her.

This is what love can do.
This is Enya.

It’s time for a kitty cat that’s been waiting for his chance for far too long. This guy is a legend and a true staff favorite.

🥁 🥁 🥁 Introducing Dr. Dorothy, MD

Dr. Dorothy is a gentle soul here to cure your ailments with his affectionate and laid-back nature!

This handsome boy is cautious but confident—he appreciates his space, especially around dogs, and isn’t afraid to set boundaries. He hasn’t met other cats or kids yet, but he’s adjusting well to home life. Dr. Dorothy is fully litter box trained and has a deep love for food (he’ll never miss a meal!). While he’s still figuring out toys, he’s learning to use a scratch pad.

Dr. Dorothy enjoys attention but is just as happy curling up under a desk while you work, making him the perfect mix of independent and affectionate. He has diabetes, but don’t worry—he handles his insulin shots like a champ! Due to his condition, he drinks more water and pees more frequently, but he has never had an accident outside the litter box.

Frank spent 8 amazing years with his previous family, so he knows all about home life and how to be a great roommate. His ideal day? A cozy nap, a treat or two, and some quiet time with his people. 🐶🛋️

🥫 Meet Ketchup! 🐾 - We are always team Ketchup over here at MSC!

She’s 2 years old, 45 lbs of pure shepherd mix sweetness, and ready to be your new BFF.

Recently surrendered (no fault of her own — her owner had to move), Ketchup is now on the hunt for a forever family to love and cuddle.

💤 Quiet as can be (rarely barks)
👶 Kid-loving and super affectionate
🎾 Loves fetch (she’s still perfecting the “drop it” part 😅)
