It’s shedding season and we got you covered! Our high power blow dryers help blow out that undercoat! We also have a variety of brushes for you to use. Or schedule a full service groom with one of our grooming professionals and let us do the work for you. Copper came in for his second puppy groom with us! He still isn’t a fan of the clippers but he gets an A+ for selfies! Starting your puppies early is so important to set them up for successful grooms for the rest of their lives!

Is your pup fresh & clean in time for Easter? Self wash available today, Friday 12-6:30 and Saturday 10-5:30 as a walk in! No appointment needed. Nail trimming is available all day Thursday & Friday then 10-2 Saturday. We will be closed for Easter Sunday but back open Monday 12-7!

We have already started seeing ticks on dogs at the shop! Please be aware and always check your pups after outside playtime! Or stop by for a wash where they are elevated to make it easier on your back! We are open Thursday & Friday 12-7pm, Saturday 10-6pm this week. We will be closed Easter Sunday to spend time with family but we will see those dirty puppies on Monday as well 12-7pm!

Happy Sunday after the Storm!

Raise your hand if you have dogs. Now raise your hand if you have dogs and at least twice in the middle of the night you woke up, cringing because you knew in the morning you we're gonna have to deal with MUDDY PAWS!! 🤪🤣😂 ME TOOOOO! (ugh... Things we do for dog love...)

The Bookshop will be open today from 9am to 3pm... ALSO TODAY, our Embroidery Queen Jenine will host our Subversive Stitching group from 3 to 5!!

If you'd like to get in on that, you can still register through our event listing here, on the website, OR just come on into the store and we will get you situated. It's nice to know in advance how many people we have coming, but it's also nice to have the flexibility for last minute friends to join us!

And just to clarify, we will have a break midway through for snacks and stretching and, no, you do not need to have prior experience. We have two levels that you can join. The higher price comes with a kit full of materials and the lower price gives you the flexibility to come join the sewing circle as many times as you want but bringing your own materials. Some of us appreciate the support and camaraderie we receive just by regularly being in the group.

I'm never going to get tired of reminding you that supporting small businesses like mine is a really big part of making sure that our communities keep their colorful personalities. I DON'T EVEN WANNA IMAGINE a Shawnee that doesn't have a ShananiGanns... or a Brothers Music KC... or a U Wash Puppy to GET RID OF MUDDY PAWS!

And if we want to KEEP these businesses that make us *unique*, we've got to get out and support them consistently. I SEE and APPLAUD all of you that keep making time and space in your budget for that to be possible. It is HUGE.... THANK YOU!

Whole heart appreciation too... To those of you who were flexible this past couple weeks because I have had quite the time with various shipping snafus that were out of my control. You've all been patient and understanding and I appreciate that so much because at various points it definitely had ME rattled!! Thank you for being easy going, go with the flow kind of folks... I HAVE THE BEST CUSTOMERS! I'd stack you up against customers from other stores any day... You are well-read and you have great personalities... ALL OF YOU!! 🤪💕
