🚨 Blitzen Needs Out – He’s Starting to Struggle 🚨

Our sweet boy Blitzen (8yr, male lab mix) is doing his very best, but the shelter environment is taking a toll on him. The noise, the confinement, the constant stress — it’s wearing him down. We’re seeing signs of emotional decline and rising anxiety, and it’s heartbreaking to witness.

Blitzen isn’t just another kennel number. He’s a sensitive soul who’s trying to stay hopeful — but it’s getting harder by the day.

We are actively seeking a foster or adopter who can offer him a calm space to decompress and feel safe. While we have seen him get along with some dogs, he has gotten into fights with a few dogs since coming to the shelter. Due to this, we would like to see him in a home without other dogs. He needs relief. He needs connection. He needs out. Blitzen lived with a lady for 6 years before she fell ill and had to give him up. He bonds quickly with people and will be the most loyal companion to someone.

Urgent Need: Stage 1 chicken flavored baby food for our cats.

We're in need of stage 1 chicken flavored baby food to help feed some of our more sensitive or sick cats who are struggling to eat. This gentle food is often the only thing they'll accept when they're not feeling well. If you're able to donate, any amount is greatly appreciated! You can drop it off at the shelter located at 1290 Jaycee Court in Shawano.
