Beat the Heat: Summer Safety Tips for Your Dog! ☀️🐶

Summer fun is still in full swing—but rising temps can be tough on our furry friends. With a little planning, you can keep your dog safe, cool, and comfortable no matter how hot it gets!

🚨 Heatstroke Warning Signs:
Watch for heavy panting, drooling, bright red gums, wobbly walking, or sudden fatigue. These are serious signs—act fast!

🧊 What to Do in an Emergency:
Move your dog to shade or AC, wet their fur with cool (not icy!) water, offer small amounts of fresh water, and call your vet ASAP.

💡 Easy Ways to Stay Cool:

* Walk early or late—avoid midday heat
* Provide lots of cool water & shade
* Use cooling mats, bandanas, or vests
* Treat with hydrating snacks like watermelon or ice cubes
* Try dog-safe sunscreen for exposed skin
* Take swim breaks (with constant supervision!)

Flat-faced breeds, senior dogs, and pups with health concerns—they overheat faster and need extra care.
