TICKS are EVERYWHERE

This American Dog Tick decided it preferred Dr. Hill’s purple hair



Remember to check yourself and your pet after anytime spent outdoors. Tick pills help kill ticks after they ingest blood from the dog but that won’t help if they bite you instead. There’s also a worry that topical tick meds for pets may actually encourage pets to head for the human and away from the dog.

We recommend the chewable Credelio options for pets or the 12 month bravecto shot for year round coverage!

Always keep an eye on Fido when you are fishing or just packing your tackle box!

This rascal got the hook caught in the lip but is doing just fine after our team sedated and removed the embedded hook and barb.

Someone learned the hard way this week that stealing grapes isn’t worth it!

Thankfully mom noticed and we were able to induce vomiting before it was ingested.

Grapes can cause kidney failure in pets and there is no antidote or reversal once they have been digested.

We recommend a retest at 6-8 months as they can be negative for FIV (maternal exposure can create a false positive). FIV cats can live a normal healthy lifespan and infection is rare between housemates as it requires a deep
