Summer heat can be dangerous for pets. To prevent burned paws, walk early in the morning or later in the evening. Even on mild days, temperatures in parked cars can rise to dangerous levels in minutes. If your pets can’t come inside with you, it’s safest to leave them at home.

It is with great sadness that I share the news our beloved Bailey has passed over the rainbow bridge. For those who don’t know Bailey was rescued from a shelter in Philly and was diagnosed with osteochondrodysplasia, a disease that affects Scottish folds when they aren’t bred correctly. This condition is extremely painful and there is no cure. We have medically managed her pain for years but today she let us know it was time to be pain free. Please feel free to share a memory or note to the entire staff at BMAH, we are all grieving today. She will be missed dearly.
