We recently were hired for a large fundraising gala in downtown Akron, at the Civic Theater. Their event had a Bridgerton type theme. Most of the people were dressed in costume and fancy clothes. The attendees had the opportunity to have their picture taken with the horses and carriage. Our Shire geldings, Indy and Duncan, did an amazing job. It was a beautiful evening.

True Elegance...

Two weeks ago, we showed our weanling Percheron c**t, TLF Royal Heir (Lynden Northern Abraham X TLF May She Reign by BP Dynasty), at the Ohio State Fair. For his first time off the farm, this c**t had such a great attitude. He made the long trip down, all alone in the trailer, like it was an everyday thing. He loaded in and out with ease. When it came to showtime, he stood quietly waiting outside the ring. Once in, he relied on us to show him there was nothing to be afraid of. We didn't push him, and he moved gracefully in all 4 of his classes. We appreciate our open show judge, Kyle Love, for being able to look beyond the fact that Roy has an undocked tail, and was shown without shoes. He still recognized the quality and placed us appropriately. Roy is available and ready to find his new home. If you think he may be a good fit for you, please message us for more information. Recently we made a trip to northern Michigan to pick up a new (to us) piece of equipment for our farm. Introducing the Teamster 2000 Forecart. These horsedrawn pto carts have a lot of great uses around the farm. This has hydraulics, a battery, and an extra added feature of a solar panel. These were only manufactured for a short time in the early 90s. Todd had always wanted one. He had even inquired about them, and still has the original info packet they sent him about it. It needs a few minor repairs before we start using it, but we are super excited to get it going. More pictures to come as we start using it.

A few weeks ago, we harvested our rye and speltz fields. It was then put up in the grain storage to feed throughout this fall and winter. Here's a short clip of Todd finishing up the rye field, before moving on to the speltz. While we generally go on to bale the straw, this year we chose not to due to time constraints. We will brush hog down what's left, and disc it all under. That old John Deere 45EB has been around a long time, but she keeps on rolling.

Nix fix!!!
For those who have been wondering how our orphan from last year is doing, Phoenix is doing pretty good. We can still see some mild issues, but he continues to get bigger and stronger everyday. Below is a quick shot of him out playing earlier this week. He had a burst of 'zoomies'.

Lass is a full sister to Gabriella (also available), also posted earlier this week. If you are interested in making her part of your family, please message us.
