They grow up so fast! These wild kids are learning all about play and snuggles. They are all very sweet and are always at the door clamoring for attention when we come to see them. They embody eat, sleep, play. Many of the black kittens are getting some brown around their faces. It will be interesting to see what color they ultimately end up being. For now, they are bundles of joy and adorableness.

One of our clients has had a change in life circumstances and has decided it is best to find their lovely cat a new home. Seymour is a beautiful 12 year old neutered male cat who is full of love. He enjoys being brushed and pet and has always been a lovebug while staying with us. His owners note he is especially gentle with infants and toddlers. He is up to date with vaccines and has no known health conditions. If you would like to add this wonderful boy to your family message me and I will give you the information to contact his owners.

Our little kittens keep growing! They are in a bit of a food coma here as mom tops them up. They are all very sweet and come running for snuggles and snacks. They love to play with ping pong balls and we are working on teaching them how to use the turbo toy.

This is why most orange cats are male and most tortoiseshell and calico cats are female (they will always be female unless a male has a mutation and carries XXY chromosomes)

Orange fur in cats is linked to a gene carried on the X chromosome. Male cats have only one X chromosome, so if they inherit the orange gene, they will usually be entirely orange. Female cats have two X chromosomes, meaning they can carry both orange and black genes at the same time. This combination creates mixed coat patterns like tortoiseshell or calico, where patches of orange and black appear together. Because of this genetic difference, most orange cats are male, while most tortoiseshell and calico cats are female.

We have our first litter of kittens for 2026 from Humane Society of Skagit Valley! They are the Zodiac litter. Mom is Virgo (the irony is not lost on us) and the kittens are Aries, Leo, Gemini, Scorpio, Sagittarius and Ta**us. These little guys are a bit undernourished and much smaller than they should be. They are eating voraciously, growing like weeds and are very sweet and playful. Mom is also very sweet, but is enjoying having some space to herself where the kittens can't quite reach her yet. They are all black except one black and white baby.

The kittens are now in their big room and enjoying being a part of everything. The problem is they are so friendly the moment you open the door then all come piling over and it is impossible to get a good picture or catch them doing anything cute! That means I had to take a cute picture through the door with glare. They are such fun kittens and will make some lucky family very happy!

Our little ones have opened their eyes and begun exploring their space. They are unsteady and unsure but finding their legs. Saturn has come out of her shell and is very sweet. She wants all the attention herself so it can be hard to snuggle with the babies. They are all growing well and absolutely adorable!
