🇺🇸🎆 4th of July Pet Safety Reminder 🐾❤️

While we look forward to celebrating Independence Day with family and friends this weekend, the holiday can be one of the most stressful times of the year for our pets. Loud fireworks, crowded gatherings, and festive foods can all pose risks to our furry family members.

Here are a few ways to help keep your pets safe this weekend:

🐶 Keep pets indoors in a secure, quiet room before fireworks begin.
🎇 Close windows and curtains, and turn on the TV or calming music to help drown out loud noises.
🏷️ Make sure your pet is wearing a current ID tag and that their microchip information is up to date in case they become frightened and escape.
💊 If your pet experiences anxiety from fireworks, talk to your veterinarian about calming medications or sedatives before the holiday. Never give human medications unless directed by a veterinarian.
🍔 Keep holiday foods, alcoholic beverages, and fireworks out of your pet's reach, as many can be harmful or toxic.
❤️ Give your pet plenty of comfort, but don't force interactions if they prefer to hide.
