The cat whose tongue is always out! 😛❤️

Say hello to Bronx! His tongue isn’t actually always out, but let’s just say we have quite the collection of tongue-out photos of him!

When Bronx was brought to us, he was a stray and needed a dental. As a result of that dental, his tongue sometimes sticks out, which only adds to his charm.❤️

But beyond the adorable tongue, he’s truly the sweetest boy. He loves getting belly rubs from people he trusts and enjoys playing with his toys. Even without teeth, he loves both his dry and wet food, and let’s just say he’s developed a pretty impressive belly because of it! He also loves scratching posts.

Bronx is our second-longest resident in Cat Alley. Unfortunately, he doesn’t get the attention he deserves, so we wanted to share his cute face with all of you today. ❤️

The best part? A generous person has covered his adoption fee, so Bronx’s adoption fee is completely waived! 🎉

Bumble ❤️

His life hasn’t always been easy. Through it all, he’s always had a family that was always there for him: the H.A.L.O. family.

He knows what it’s like to be loved, and we just want to give him what we can’t. A home, a bed, a couch, and people who’ll stick around forever.

Some of these photos are from 2018 and 2019 when he was just a young pup. Others are more recent. Through all these years, he’s still waiting for his happy ending.

Carter (Adoption Pending! ❤️) is only 7 months old. This mini house panther is full of personality! Playful, curious, and affectionate, Carter loves toys, adventures, and bird-watching. If you’re looking for a fun-loving kitten with a mischievous streak, Carter’s your guy.

Wombat is just 2 years old. He’s an energetic, playful tabby who loves toys, games, and attention. He’s affectionate and social, but like many young cats, he can get a little overstimulated during play. A cat-savvy home with a catio or enclosed lanai would be his dream come true!

Sometimes we need to get creative. 🎨❤️

Little Tubby was brought to us when he was barely 2 weeks old and was quickly placed in the loving hands of one of our amazing fosters.

Tubby was born with flat-chested kitten syndrome and swimmer syndrome, so he’s facing a few extra challenges as he grows.

This is what yesterday’s arts-and-crafts project looked like. Doesn’t Tubby look even cuter? 😻

Only time will tell if he’ll make a full recovery, but we’re staying hopeful! ❤️🐾

Meet Nala & Salem — two devoted 11‑year‑old sisters looking for a peaceful home where they can shine again.

These sweet girls recently lost the quiet life they adored when babies arrived in their family. Big noises and constant commotion just weren’t their style, and they’ve been missing the calm, steady attention of their humans.

Nala and Salem are sunbeam connoisseurs, professional loungers, and certified experts in the art of slow, cozy living. Give them a warm patch of sunlight, a soft blanket, and a gentle hand for pets, and they’re in heaven. Evenings on the couch — whether you’re reading or watching a show — are their idea of perfection.

They’d be thrilled to have a screened patio for bird‑watching and afternoon naps. They’re not fans of loud sounds or chaotic environments, so a calm, predictable home will help them feel safe and loved.

Salem has one extra hobby: she lives for laser‑pointer workouts and will happily show off her athletic side when the red dot appears.

💖Newly up for adoption!! (You’ve probably seen this pretty girl as a meme with us a few times. She has the best silly faces!)💖

Meet Penny 💖— a beautiful reddish-gold pit/hound mix with soulful eyes, adorable little neck tufts that seem to have come from who-knows-where, and a personality that keeps people smiling. One of the first things you’ll notice about Penny is her uniquely expressive eyes — a little buggy-looking in the absolute cutest way possible — giving her a constant look of curiosity and charm. Penny originally came to us from a local vet office, though we unfortunately do not know the circumstances surrounding why she was surrendered there.

Upon arriving with us, Penny underwent heartworm treatment and has completed it successfully, so she’s now feeling great and ready to find a home of her own.

She’s an energetic girl who enjoys exploring the world around her — especially if snacks are involved. Penny is very food motivated, making her a great candidate for continued training and bonding with her future family.

While she can be a little aloof at times and marches to the beat of her own drum, she has a fun, lovable personality that grows on you quickly. She also feels very strongly that bath time is unnecessary. Penny has done well meeting other dogs here at the shelter and also scored well when introduced to a cat. Based on her easygoing nature, we think she would likely do just fine in a home with kids as well. Another bonus? Penny keeps her kennel impressively clean, so we believe she is likely housebroken too.

Penny is currently listed as a foster-to-adopt placement, meaning H.A.L.O. will continue covering her monthly heartworm prevention and her required 6-month post-treatment retest, which will confirm that she is officially heartworm negative. If you’re looking for a unique, goofy, beautiful girl with plenty of personality, expressive eyes, and a love language centered around treats, Penny may just be your perfect match.
