Hey there everyone! Kyle here.

I'm sure you've all heard that today was my last day with Bark Avenue Healthy Pets. It's 4PM as I write this, and it honestly still doesn't feel real. I keep thinking "okay, once I'm done today I can have a nice easy work day tomorrow and we'll get to do it all over again next week." But there is no tomorrow, no next week. When I lock up tonight, it will be the last time as a Bark Avenue employee (at least, in my current capacity.) And that thought is scary. Exciting as well, sure. But I can't say I'm not nervous.

You, all of you, have been absolutely amazing customers in my tenure here. I have laughed with you, cried with you, had hours-long off-the-clock conversations just to spend some extra time with you. In my nearly eight years here, I never imagined that I would come to love a community as much as I have loved growing with you all. You truly helped me understand what my calling is and how much I truly love what I do, and I cannot thank you enough for that.

To everyone that signed the surprise card for me, thank you so much. It will be framed and put next to my work desk. To everyone I didn't have the chance to personally say goodbye to: I'm sorry I missed you, but know that I never stopped thinking about you. I will carry each and every one of you with me, and if luck allows we may cross paths again in my new position. I'll still be at the stores once in while. I'll just be trying to sell to Kelly & Co instead of y'all now, haha.

I wish all of you, both customers and coworkers, nothing but the absolute best. Treat one another with kindness and understanding, and grant some grace to any new faces you may see in the stores while Kelly gets some new employees trained. Just know that I'm leaving everyone with a VERY detailed guide of how to keep the stores from burning down without me (and if an emergency arises, they know how to get ahold of me.)

Ethel is a senior poodle who wakes up every day hoping this is the day someone notices her💔

She’s gentle and incredibly sweet — The kind of dog who is happy just being near her person. She doesn’t need a busy life or big adventures — she wants a soft bed, a warm home, and someone who will love her for the rest of her days.

Ethel has a calm, tender presence that feels comforting the moment you meet her. She leans into pets, enjoys peaceful moments, and has that special senior-dog way of making everything feel a little softer.

She’s spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. She’s ready to go home…The only thing missing is a family.

If you’ve ever thought about opening your heart to a senior, Ethel would be so grateful for the chance💓

The day has come that we have to say goodbye to Kyle… although he may still be around once in a while lol. Kyle started at Bark Avenue 7 1/2 years ago. He was hired to help with my former stores in PSL and Ft. Pierce. When I decided to close PSL, I moved him to Ft. Pierce and a couple of days in Vero. Then I closed Fort Pierce and moved him full time to Vero. In the time I have known Kyle, I have seen him mature in his personal and professional life… from going to his wedding with his soul mate Amanda to gaining his confidence in his knowledge of pet food. The job we do is NOT just retail… our customers become our friends.. we see them every week. Most of the time they bring their pets in store and we get to see them through the majority of their life span. I have always stressed to anyone that works at Bark Avenue, that I want you to treat their (the customers) dogs as if it was your own. What most people don’t know, is that we become attached to your pets also… and to you! We have the pleasure of going through all the ups and downs with you through your time coming in to Bark Avenue. We cry right along with you when things go south. The bond the Kyle has created with each of you and your dogs will last forever with Kyle. Kyle was given an opportunity to expand his knowledge and career and has decided to accept a position with a great food brand - Farmina - he will be the regional sales rep and will be covering the state of Florida! I am sad to loose him, but super excited for him to continue helping pets but now it will be state wide 🙂 All of us At Bark Avenue wish Kyle all the best and he is welcome back anytime or part time lol - Kyle’s last day will be Thursday 2/12 and he will be working the Vero store his last day - please stop in and give him a hug if you can! Congratulations on your new adventure Kyle!!!

Hello there, everyone! We wanted to give our beloved regulars an update on the All Provide shortage we've been experiencing so you know that we're in the same boat as you.

All Provide had an issue with one of the production machines (their grinder specifically) that could not be fixed, and therefore had to be replaced. Because of this, production was halted for an extended amount of time to be able to bring their manufacturing back up to 100%. As of right now, we have been told that new product should begin shipping to warehouses at the end of this month. This means that we probably won't see new inventory come in until sometime in mid-to-late February. If you would like to be put on a waitlist for when we receive more, please feel free to stop in or call either of our locations and we can add you to our Special Order list so that our next order has your name on it. If you would like any recommendations for substitutions on the meantime, we absolutely recommend taking a look at Raised Right's lightly cooked line, as many of our customers (and even Kyle) have found it to be an easy transition for their usually-picky pups.
