URGENT NEED

Located In Floyd, VA but transportation can be arranged

Meet Maya (12-year-old female TT who is deaf) and her bonded buddy Finnegan (9-year-old male Tibetan Spaniel).

Their Mom is at the end of her life and is has entered hospice care. Her dying wish is that a safe and loving home be secured for her beloved dogs. Her wish (as well as her fear) is for them to be placed together. She begs that they are not split apart. Please help me give this lovely woman peace of mind. It was a very sudden illness, and she is only 70 years old.

The dogs' current caretakers report that these two are lovely dogs who have been at their human's bedside constantly since the illness began.

The are housebroken .

Do you have the room in your heart to welcome them? Please fill out an application to adopt https://www.layten.com/cgi-bin/RescueForm.pl

We will keep this short and sweet because we really, really would love you to see the two fascinating pieces that 60 minutes did Sunday night on dog health, genetics, and research. Also a few good articles for the health nerds, and those we would love to become health nerds. Please, let us know what you think! The segments are second and third, called “Survival of the Friendliest” and “Comparative Oncology.”

Recently, a Tibetan Terrier Breeder of 47 Years who is having health issues caused by a car accident, contacted me, asking to help place a large number of Tibetan Terriers of all age categories.

The dogs are currently under the care of TTCA Rescue and are being housed in NJ as they are readied for placement in adoptive homes.

People interested in being considered to adopt one of these dogs are asked to fill out a Rescue Application at: http://www.layten.com/cgi-bin/RescueForm.pl and will be contacted if there is a dog available that Rescue believes would be well suited to the applicant.

Unfortunately, due to the amount of time that Rescue volunteers are currently devoting to these dogs, the Rescue committee is unable to take adoption inquiries by phone.

Although the breeder has made a substantial donation to the TTCA to help with expenses, additional donations to help Rescue care for these dogs are very much appreciated. Donations can be made to the TTHWF online or by mail (please make a notation that the donation is for "New home for TTs" https://www.tibetanterriersfoundation.org/html/Donations.html

Here are some pictures of the Happily Ever After's for some of these precious Tibetan Terriers!

In addition, I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank all who have assisted in this effort: Anita Lamison, Fran Kridakorn, Hollis Matson, Deborah, Stacey LaForge, Karen Tromblee, Flossie Barczewski, Jim Lenchner, Adria Martino, Rene Pard Stamm, Domenick Forchi and Jen Quigley

Thank you for your support!
