I never share these types of things because I'm usually just too exhausted to think about social media. This story is a good example of why I'm in animal rescue and a big reason I post wishlists, I love being able to help! Most of my time and money over the last 6-7 years has gone into animals and helping the community but I'm limited on what I can buy so I appreciate everything you guys send! I don't only help my fosters, I help people in our community with strays and their pets when I can as well.

A couple in NC found this cat (Simba) near death. Simba was badly emaciated, dehydrated, very weak, barely eating or drinking, had conjunctivitis and he was having seizures every couple of hours that lasted about a minute each. The guys who found him already have pets, children and other fosters so they reached out to Arcadia dog rescue who got reached out to me and got him seen by a vet. (Perfect example of why I always say people in rescue should be friends, teamwork saved this cat's life) They know I'm in NC and have experience with seizure cats. Thankfully it worked out so I was able to get a bag of fluids for an IV and some CBD oil to Simba. The vet wasn't able to take his blood so they couldn't do much for him.

After a week of strangers working together and a couple going without sleep, Simba's seizures are now under control, he's hydrated, he's eating and I'm sure he's going to start putting on weight then go on to live a wonderful life! The picture in the comments is him now.

Does anyone remember my paralyzed foster puppy, Zeus (Now Zeke)? His family and I became friends so they send me updates all the time! I love it! He is so happy and so loved! I can't put into words how much I love those people for loving him! Zeke is spoiled rotten in all the best ways and he loves his sister!
Right now Zeke and family are on a road trip! They're visiting 4 different states and he's having so much fun! They sent me this picture from Arizona! 💞

Well he likes to snuggle up to my back when I'm sleeping and he kept pulling his diaper off then p*eing on me early in the morning. So now instead of him wearing a diaper at night, I wrap him in a p*e pad because he can't get that off. I don't like the idea of him not having access to water so I keep his bowl on the bed and apparently he drinks a lot while I'm passed out. 🤷‍♀️😂😂

This is part of my text conversation with the dog's foster, Leigh the day before Eli was euthanized and the day of.

You see where she says exactly what Amelia Jones told her. You can see I was defending the shelter and defending Amelia. I thought Leigh was lying because I didn't at all believe Amelia would have done something so awful like lie about me.

Part 4 of my experiences with Burlington Animal Services over this past year.

These emails are from this week, my last effort at getting Jess Arias, Craig Honeycutt or Rachel Kelly to handle the situation but you can tell Jess didn't read anything I said. They do not care about any of this or me at all. Jess Arias is an absolute fraud who has no business working with people or animals.

Part 3 of my experiences with Burlington Animal Services over this past year.

There isn't much to tell here, the story is in the screenshots. I was treated horribly by Jess Arias and Rachel Kelly who kept cutting me off and talking over me every time I was trying to explain anything. Looking back I fully believe this was a manipulation tactic by Jess because she didn't want Rachel to hear the awful things I had to say. Attached are screenshots of the emails I sent in to Assistant City Manager, Rachel Kelly and to her supervisor, Craig Honeycutt after the meeting. After Craig spoke down to me in the email, I chose not to meet him and decided to go above him. I've wasted enough time as is.

I've edited some names out of these screenshots because I don't want anyone to be harassed or attacked in any way.
