Foster MYTH: it's too risky to foster an animal if you already have pet(s) in the home...but is that true? 🤔💭

That is actually FALSE! Many fosters actually have pets of their own!

Before bringing any new animal home, rescues will host a meet-and-greet between your pet(s) and your new foster animal. This is to safely ensure that all animals involved will get along during the foster's stay. Once in your care, it's good to slowly integrate your foster animal into your home, whether it be interacting with other pet(s) or getting used to your daily routine. If things don't end up working out in the end, you can always swap your foster animal out and try again with someone new.
