Thank you to Evans General Contractors Savannah who came out and helped us get the trees in place and start on displays for our annual Coastal Pet Rescue Twinkle Bark Stroll. We still need sponsors for these trees! Starting at just $100, you can go in with friends, family, co-workers, whoever to sponsor a tree and schedule a time to come do your own decorations or have CPR volunteers decorate for you. Details at twinklebarkstroll.org or email [email protected]. All sponsorships this year are going towards helping with much needed repairs due to storm damage this summer.

We also have service hours available for teens on Wednesday, November 26, from 10 am to 5 pm. Email [email protected] for information and waivers. Other service groups are welcome to come help as we continue to build out the lights. Just email us to schedule your group!

What extra sweet with six toes 💜

Meet Butterscotch- just as sweet as her name implies! This playful pup is as active as you would expect a puppy to be and we anticipate her being a fairly big girl despite being the smallest of the litter- mom was 40lbs for reference. She loves fluffy things, playing with her sister, and cuddling. She’s got the puppy dog eye look down pat and is ready to steal your heart.

Fun fact: she has double dew claws in the back, so 6 toes on each back paw!

This is Twix. On Halloween day, he wandered up to one of our foster parents who brought him by our shelter for a chip scan. Chip was found, so we started contacting. It took a few days, but we finally made contact and found out that Twix had been missing for SEVEN YEARS! The family drove up from Florida this Saturday to be reunited.

Microchipping works, but only if you keep it updated. The last update for this guy was when he was living in New York as a young pup, and the family had moved multiple times since. Luckily, they still answered the email address on file. This is a great reminder for you to check in and see if your pet's chip information is current.

We have 24 hours to secure up to 10 foster homes to help three litters of puppies needing rescue. Pups range in age from 8 weeks to 3.5 months. They can go in singles or in pairs, but singles need another dog in the home to help teach them canine manners. Fill out our foster application if interested:

Foster homes must be located in Chatham, Effingham, or Bryan counties. Coastal Pet Rescue provides all supplies and all veterinary care until adoption.

Please, don't make us keep saying no to so many that need rescue. We need so many more foster homes to be able to make our way through the long-running requests list we currently hold.
