Deacon Walker Riley
In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Deacon Walker Riley AKA “Tebow” of Danny & Vonda Broom
It is with hearts heavy with grief yet overflowing with love that we say goodbye to our precious Tebow, who brought thirteen years of joy, unconditional love, and endless laughter into our lives. He was truly the LOML, a soul so bright. My world feels empty without his presence.
From his first day with us, my little man filled our home with his spirited personality and boundless enthusiasm. His black eyes lit up at the mention of a walk, or a car ride and off he’d go with that characteristic Westie confidence, ready to explore every corner of the world. No squirrel was safe from his pursuit though we suspect he loved the chase more than the capture. His playful barks, his bedtime snuggles and his carrot tail wags are no longer with us.
The beach held a special place in his heart, where he would race across the sand with pure abandon, his white coat gleaming in the sunshine, ears flying in the salty breeze. Those moments of watching him discover new scents and sounds along the shoreline will forever be treasured memories that bring both tears and smiles.
His love story with his little partner Marley was something beautiful to witness. They were inseparable companions, sharing sunny spots for naps, playing together with boundless energy, and providing each other comfort through all of life’s moments. When Marley crossed the rainbow bridge in 2020, we watched our boy’s gentle heart mourn the loss, and we know that being reunited with his dear friend has brought him some peace .
For thirteen wonderful years, God blessed our home with Tebow he taught us about loyalty, about finding joy in simple pleasures, about greeting each day with enthusiasm, and about loving with your whole heart. His gentle spirit, his playful antics, and his unwavering devotion have left pawprints on our hearts that will never fade.
Though our hearts are shattered and life will never be the same, we find comfort in knowing that somewhere beyond the rainbow bridge, he’s chasing squirrels with Marley by his side, his tail wagging with the same joy that blessed our lives each day.
Until we meet again, sweet little man. You were loved beyond measure, and that love will live on forever.
“Dogs leave pawprints on our hearts that time cannot erase.”
