🎃🐾 A Safe & Spooky Halloween: Day 4 🐾🎃

Happy Halloween from our little Pomeranian Star Wars crew! ✨ Whether your family is heading out to trick-or-treat or staying home to greet visitors, let’s keep our furry friends safe and comfortable tonight! 🧡

If your pup is joining you for trick-or-treating, keep these tips in mind:

🦮 Use a secure leash and well-fitting harness or collar. Make sure your pup’s ID tag is attached and their contact information is current.

✨ Help your pup stay visible. Reflective gear or a pet-safe light can make them easier to see after dark.

🍬 Watch the ground. Dropped candy, wrappers and glow sticks can be tempting finds for curious pups!

👻 Give your pup space. Crowds, loud noises, masks and decorations can be scary. Avoid forcing greetings, and watch for signs that your dog is uncomfortable.

🏡 Have a backup plan. If your pup seems worried or overwhelmed, take a break or head home. Some dogs are happiest enjoying a quiet night inside, and that’s perfectly okay! 💕

🎃🐾 A Safe & Spooky Halloween: Day 3 🐾🎃

Super Milo is here with a reminder to give your furry friend a quiet place to relax during Halloween festivities! 🦸‍♂️🧡

Doorbells, unfamiliar visitors and spooky costumes can be a little overwhelming—even for a pup who normally loves meeting new people.

Before the trick-or-treaters arrive, consider setting up a cozy space away from the front door with:

🛏️ Their favorite bed or blanket
💧 Fresh water
🧸 A favorite toy or chew
📺 Soft music or the TV to help with outside noise

With the door opening throughout the evening, it’s also a good time to check that your pet’s ID tag and microchip contact information are up to date, just in case they slip outside.

If your pup gets especially anxious, talk with your veterinarian about ways to help them feel more comfortable. A cozy night at home can be the perfect Halloween plan! 🐶💕

👻🐾 A Safe & Spooky Halloween: Day 2 🐾👻

Mae and Little Bebe are here to remind us that Halloween costumes should be comfortable as well as cute! 🩰🧚‍♀️

Before your pup shows off their spooky-season style, make sure their costume allows them to:

🐾 Walk and move comfortably
🐾 See and hear clearly
🐾 Breathe, bark and drink easily
🐾 Go potty without the costume getting in the way

Check for small or dangling pieces that could be chewed off, and always supervise your pup while they’re dressed up.

If your furry friend freezes, tries to get out of the costume or seems uncomfortable, it’s okay to take it off. A festive bandana—or their natural fluff—is always a great Halloween look, too! 🎃🧡

🍂🐾 Wednesday’s Cuties! 🐾🍂

Sweet senior Romeo the Shih Tzu came in for his signature groom and left looking handsome as ever! 💙

Milo the Yorkshire Terrier stopped by for his signature groom so he’ll be looking pumpkin-tastic in his Halloween costume! 🎃

Handsome Moose the Husky mix joined me for his signature groom, too. Just look at those beautiful eyes! 🥰

And, of course, my boy Ryder came to work with me and lounged by my station while I pampered his friends. He loves being close to his mama! 🐾❤️

Thank you for sharing your sweet pups with me! 💕

🎃🐾 A Safe & Spooky Halloween: Day 1 🐾🎃

Milo is here to help me kick off our Halloween pet safety series with an important reminder: keep the treats out of paws’ reach! 🍬

Halloween candy may be a favorite for our little trick-or-treaters, but some treats can be dangerous for our furry family members:

🍫 Chocolate, especially dark and baking chocolate, can be toxic to pets.

🍬 Sugar-free candy and gum may contain xylitol, a sweetener that can be life-threatening to dogs.

🍇 Raisins can also be dangerous for dogs.

Even candy wrappers can cause trouble if swallowed! Keep candy bags, bowls and wrappers tucked away in a secure cabinet, and don’t forget to check the kids’ backpacks and rooms. 😉

If your pet gets into candy or you’re unsure what they ate, call your veterinarian or the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center at 888-426-4435 right away—even if your pet seems fine. Have the packaging handy if possible.

Let’s keep the treats sweet and our furry friends safe this Halloween! 🧡🐶

Harlow the standard poodle came in for a fresh Town and Country trim—or, as her mom and I like to call it, her “robot trim”! 🤖🐩

From her fluffy curls to those beautifully sculpted legs and her signature topknot, Harlow is looking fabulous from every angle. 💕

🌴🐾 Tuesday’s Cuties! 🐾🌴

Handsome Oliver, sweet Milo, and adorable Enzo all came in for their signature grooms and left looking fresh and fabulous! ✂️🛁💙

And then there’s my boy Ryder, who came to work with me and spent some time lounging on my grooming table while he waited. It’s his second favorite spot—his first is anywhere his mama is! 🥹🐾❤️
