It's with a heavy heart that i am writing this post. It's taken me several weeks to be able to bring myself to publish it because I am simply devastated. Counting House Kennels will be bringing its English Springer Spaniel breeding program to a close.
My health has taken a serious and significant turn for the worse, and while I'd be happy if you'd pray for me and us as a family, I am not willing or able to discuss the diagnosis at this time. We are looking to place the majority of our dogs to loving, indoor only homes where they can become part of another family who will love them just as much as we do.
We have remained a small breeding program that focuses first on our dogs being a part of our family, and secondly, that each pup we produce be the healthiest, most well-adjusted, and socialized little canine citizens possible. We have invested just under 10 years into cultivating our breeding lines and loving each and every pup that has passed through our doors.
Every dog who is with us, who has ever even been considered for breeding has had DNA testing done. We hold full breeding rights for every dog we own, and we will consider whether we will be placing them as pets only or as potential breeding prospects with their AKC papers based on each individual dog.

This gorgeous red sable AKC male pup was born 8/30/24. He is out of a black tipped sable roan dam and a lemon and white sire. He's east going and doing great with crate training. He is microchipped and has had first set of vaccines plus first heartworm and flea meds. He will go home with his forever people accompanied by his AKC paperwork, a go home bag, a scent marked blankie. He's a smart boy, who's learning to sit and come.

This beautiful sweet AKC girl is Esme. She is a black tipped sable tri. She's doing wonderfully with crate training, eats well, is microchipped and gotten her first set of vaccines. She's had her first heartworm and flea meds. And goes home with a scent marked blankie and goody bag. Parents are DNA tested through Embark
